Title: PRIVILEGES THAT COME WITH VITAL UNION

John 15:4, Psalm 84:10

You must remain in vital union with the Lord if you want to walk in increasing manifestations of your prayers, dreams, visions, destiny and anointing. This is not a year to be casual with God. Jesus said, Abide in me, and I in you. The branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abides in the vine. There are things that will never open to you as long as you keep your relationship with God at the level of a distant acquaintance. You are not under obligation to someone you are not close to, and they are not under obligation to you. It is the same in the things of God. When you became born again you entered the family, but you must now cultivate that relationship intelligently. There is a general bond we have with all believers as members of the body of Christ, but there is a deeper bond and a stronger manifestation of love that operates inside the local church family that you commit yourself to and service properly.When you become part of a family you take on obligations, you cannot just walk in and out. You must be prepared to nurture and support that relationship. In the same way, there is a difference between being a general Christian and being a member that is in vital union with the Lord and with the brethren He has joined you to. Inside that atmosphere you find the spirit of one for all and all for one. We go out of our way to make sacrifices for one another, and in that flow the love of Jesus is made real in our hearts. The more deliberately you service these relationships, the more you position yourself for the kind of manifestations heaven has in mind for you. You cannot be cold, distant and independent, yet expect the full flow of divine help that belongs to people who are walking in vital fellowship.I want you to bring this understanding into your walk with the Holy Spirit as you continue in this new year. Do not treat Him like a distant relative you remember only in crisis. He is the One that carries the details of your future. Through vital fellowship He will begin to open the programs of your life, one phase after another, and you will not be stranded when you get to junctions in destiny. One day in the courts of God is better than a thousand anywhere else. One day of real communion can give you advantage for years. So make up your mind that you will not just belong to church by name, you will walk closely with the Lord, honour the relationships He has planted around you and stay in that vital union where guidance flows, strength flows and fruits begin to show.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Have you been relating with God and the church family like a casual visitor or like someone who truly belongs to the house. What specific steps will you take from today to deepen your vital union with the Lord and the people He has joined you to.

Prayer: Father, help me this year to move from casual Christianity into vital union with You and the relationships You gave me, and let this union speak in my manifestations. Amen.

SUBJECT : GIVING—THE SURE WAY TO BE BLESSED!

Memory verse: "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’" (Acts 20 vs 35.) 

READ: Proverbs 11 vs 24. -25:

11:24: There is one who scatters, yet increases more, and there is one who withholds more than is right, but it leads to poverty.

11:25: The generous soul will be made rich, and he who waters will also be watered himself.

INTIMATION:

The two verses in the passage we read today present a paradox—statement that contradicts itself. We become richer by being generous. The world says to hold on to as much as possible, but here the Scriptures say that God blesses those who give freely and generously of their possessions, time, and energy. 

When we give, God supplies us with more so that we can give more. In addition, giving helps us gain a right perspective on our possessions. We realize that they were never really ours to begin with, but were entrusted to us by God to be used to serve His purposes, and help others in need. 

Possessions are difficult to come by when you think of yourself as the provider. Possessions reminds you of how hard to work just to get by, and giving it away would only seem to put you further away from the goal of having all your needs met, and the societal approval that you have arrived. All of that would be true if God wasn't your source. In God's economy, you move closer toward your goals by giving than you do by clinging to everything you have. 

Now, let us look at the apostle Paul’s counsel to the believers in Corinth, in his second letter to them; “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. So let each one give as He purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have abundance for every good work.” (Second Corinthians 9 vs 6 - 8.)

Many people hesitate to give generously to God and others because they worry about having enough left over to meet their needs. The apostle Paul assured the believers in the Corinthian church that God is able to meet their needs. The person who gives only a little will receives a little in return. But a generous and cheerful giver, God makes all grace abound toward him or her that such person will have abundant resources, making the person sufficient at all times to carry on the good works of generosity. 

And remember that your giving must be with the right motives before God. Your giving must not be out of necessity; for instance, giving to get rich. Such motive is not right before God. Also you should not give grudgingly; giving because they said we should give. Kingdom principles for prosperity doesn’t work that way. Your giving must be from a willing and cheerful heart with faith in God. 

The apostle Paul’s prayer for those with the right heart of giving, is also quite revealing, “Now, may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruit of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.” (Second Corinthians 9 vs 10 - 11.) 

The apostle Paul had the revelation of the ‘giving’ nature of God, especially as it relates to a generous heart. He knows that God will never allow such God-natured persons to lack anything, but He will ensure uninterrupted supply and multiplication of his or her seed, consequently, enriching the person in everything in order to continue and increase his or her liberal giving in bearing fruit of righteousness. God sees the heart and knows the intent of the heart. 

Therefore, give so that the Word of God will manifest in your life; in your generosity with a cheerful and willing heart, you will be made rich and sufficient in all things, so that you will continue in your ‘good works.’ Remember, you can never out-give God! If you are in doubt ask King Solomon.

Prayer: Abba Father, Your thoughts for us is of good, and have given us all that pertains to life and godliness. Endue me with giving spirit that I may utilize the resources You bestowed in my care adequately to serve You and others, thereby making me abundantly sufficient in all things, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

Title: SERVICING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS

John 15:4-5, Mark 10:7-8

Abiding in Christ is not a religious slogan for a new year, it is the secret of a fruitful life. Jesus said the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abides in the vine. Some people have been born again and in church for years, yet there is little or no evidence of Christianity in their lives because they are not abiding. They have legal union with Christ but no vital union. It is like a couple that are truly married in law, but they live in different countries and hardly see each other. They can hold a marriage certificate, but they are not enjoying marriage because there is no living contact. Many believers are like that with Jesus. Their names are in the church register, they can tell you when they gave their lives to Christ, but there is no daily flow of life, strength and direction from Him into their practical affairs.It is a living vital union that produces the life which releases the fruits men can see. When a child of God does not continue in a vital active union, divine things will be missing in his experience. That is why the Lord began to open your eyes yesterday to the need to service your vital union, not just claim your legal position. Every relationship you enjoy today is the one you have serviced. Relationship gives birth to fellowship and fellowship strengthens relationship. When there is no fellowship, the relationship begins to die. Some people are closer to their friends than to their own brothers and sisters, simply because they talk more, visit more and share more with their friends. In the same way many believers are more intimate with their fears, their problems and the reports of experts than with the presence of God and the word of God.You can service a medical report so much that it becomes more real to you than Isaiah 53:5 that says With His stripes we are healed. You can service the memory of a disappointment until it becomes more real to you than the faithfulness of God. Some even service their relationship with a man of God more than their relationship with the Lord Himself. As a pastor I can be a signpost, but Jesus is the destination. You must not allow your closeness to any man to replace a living walk with the Master. As you go on in this year, choose deliberately to service your relationship with Jesus. Give Him the kind of regular attention, conversation, honour and obedience that makes any relationship grow. If you do that, your union with Him will move from theory to reality and fruits will begin to show without struggle.THOUGHT TO PONDER: What relationships and reports have you been servicing more than your relationship with Jesus? What deliberate adjustments will you make this year so that your fellowship with Him becomes the strongest relationship in your life?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me this year to service my relationship with You above every other relationship and let my fellowship with You produce fruits that men can see. Amen.

SUBJECT: WHEN YOU PRAY FOR OTHERS!

Memory verse: "So I sought for a man among them, who should make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” (Ezekiel 22 vs 30.)

READ: Psalm 106 vs 23:

Therefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses His chosen stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them. 

INTIMATION: 

Intercessory prayer is a never-ending opportunity to join God in His work, while at the same time, you have a chance to be transformed both in heart and circumstance. Not just a few are called to pray for others; we are all called to pray unceasingly for all of God's people. Are you wondering if praying for others makes a difference? Here are eight amazing things that happen when you pray for others: 

1. When wepray for othersy, we participate in God's work.

There are many people in our lives who need prayer. At times their needs are clear. Other times they may not know what to pray. Either way, when we pray for others, we join God in His work in their lives. 

If you are not sure what to pray, follow the exhortation of Apostle Paul to Timothy in First Timothy 2 vs 1 - 4: “Therefore I exhort first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercession and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Being obedient in praying for others clears the way for God's work and Will to be done.

2. When we pray for others we emulate Jesus.

In the book of Luke, we find Jesus praying often. He goes to His Father in prayer as His ministry begins. As we can see in Scripture, Jesus prayed for His disciples and about everything. By bringing petitions of prayer on behalf of others, we imitate our Savior. Jesus said to Peter; “And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail, and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” (Luke 22 vs 31 - 32.)

3. When we pray for others, we share in their burdens. In Philippians 2 vs 3 - 4, the apostle Paul reminds us to put others above self, and to consider the needs of others more important than our own. Our nature is to do the opposite. Our first thought is to pray that our burdens be lifted or erased altogether. It is humility that allows us to pray for others earnestly. And by offering prayers for the relief of others and sharing their burdens, our burdens seem lighter. 

4. By praying for others, we join the ministry of reconciliation. The apostle Paul said that God reconciled the believers with Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given them the ministry of reconciliation, or working to help others know Jesus, embrace salvation, and God's love. (First Corinthians 5 vs 18). Our first tool is prayer. Praying for others puts us in the middle of God's work to bring everyone to Himself. By praying for others, we are ministers in the work of salvation, opening the gospel to those in our prayers. God wants everyone to be saved, and we are invited to be part of the work. (First Timothy 2 vs 3 - 4.)

5. When we pray for others, we learn to trust God. If we depend on our strength and abilities, we cannot accomplish God's Will. Only through surrendering to God is He able to work through us to accomplish His desires in our prayers for others. When we offer intercessory prayers, pleading with God on behalf of our loved ones and friends, we are trusting in His ability to answer, and He does. We are giving up our capabilities to answer, and depending on God to keep His promise to answer our prayers.

6. When we pray for others, we are also changed. Prayer is not a matter of changing things externally, but one of working miracles in a person's inner nature. While we pray for others, we plead with God to intercede in their lives, perhaps to bring healing or strength in difficult times. But we are also opening our hearts for change. When we pray for others, we connect to the One who has the power to transform the hearts of others and bring change to their circumstances. At the same time, it amends our hearts.

7. Praying for others glorifies God. When we practice intercessory prayer, we glorify the only One who can answer prayers. Our prayers display trust in God, our belief in Christ, and when prayers are answered, we praise Him for His faithfulness. Our prayers glorify God. Praying is not just a conversation. Praying is praise for the work God will do through our prayers.

8. God answers when we pray for others. As Christians, our prayers do not bounce off the ceiling or dissipate like fog. God hears when we pray for others, and He answers. The answer may not come quickly, nor may the reply be what we expected. However, because God is gracious, we may receive much more than we asked. Either way, God answers our prayers when we pray for others. Our prayers are powerful, and our loving God wants us to know through His answer to our plea that He has the power and authority to answer whatever we ask in accordance with His Will.

Prayer should not be regarded as a duty which must be performed, but rather as a privilege to be enjoyed, a rare delight that is always revealing some new beauty.

Prayer: Abba Father, endue me with the excellent spirit of prayer and supplication with thanksgiving in all things, and giving myself to praying for others, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen.

Title: SERVICING YOUR VITAL UNION FOR A NEW YEAR OF MANIFESTATION

Romans 8:19, John 15:4

Welcome to the year 2026. This is not just a new calendar year; it is another portion of your divine timetable. The whole creation is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. There is a heightened level of expectation in the universe for your manifestation because your revelation is the answer to someone’s prayers. Somebody somewhere is crying to God, and your own manifestation is the reply from heaven. So as you step into this year, do not just think of resolutions, think of manifestations. This is why the Holy Spirit is bringing you again to the secret of vital union with Christ. Your Christianity must move from title to life, from legal position to living experience, from saying “I am born again” to showing undeniable fruits that men can see and glorify your Father in heaven. This month, I will be sharing critical truths on “Bearing Fruit as an Overcoming Christian.”Manifestation unfolds in levels and phases, so you must not rush it, but you must refuse to remain on one level. God wants you to move from glory to glory. Romans 8 tells us that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us. The glory is not something that shines on you from outside, it is something God reveals in you as you walk with Him. Salvation started the journey, but manifestation is the glory God is looking for in your life. Like the man that planted a fig tree and came for three years looking for fruit, God has invested His word, His Spirit, His mercy, His servants and His opportunities into you, and He is looking for fruits, not excuses. Jesus said He is the Vine and His Father is the Husbandman. The only assignment of the branch is to stay in vital union with the vine so that life can flow and fruit can show.I want you to enter this year with a decision to service your vital union with Jesus deliberately. Do not be a Christian by name who is far from Christ in practice. Abiding is not automatic, it is a conscious, intelligent servicing of your relationship with the Lord. Pay attention to the little instructions of the Holy Spirit this year. Pay attention to your private prayer life, your time in the word, your obedience to what God has already told you. The difference between a good Christian and a great Christian is attention to details in their walk with God. Creation is not waiting for your attendance in church alone, it is waiting for the fruits that will come as you stay in vital union with Christ. Let this first day of the year mark a fresh beginning in your walk with the Lord. Determine that this will not just be another year of promises, but a year where the life of Christ in you breaks out in visible, undeniable manifestations.THOUGHT TO PONDER: What practical changes will you make from today to service your vital union with Christ and not just your Christian title?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, as I step into 2026, help me to abide in You in a living way and not just by title, and let Your life in me break out in fruits that glorify You. Amen.

WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 31, 2025.

SUBJECT : BE PATIENT WITH GOD!

Memory verse: "For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Habakuk 2 vs 3.)

READ: Romans 4 vs 16 - 22:

4:16: Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

4:17: (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which be not as though they did; 

4:18: who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”

4:19: And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb

4:20: He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 

4:21: and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

4:22: And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness."

INTIMATION:

It is pertinent to wait to receive from God after you have presented your petition in prayers to Him. Our memory verse is the answer God gave prophet Habakkuk. God's answer to Habakkuk is the same answer He would give you and I; "Be patient! I will work out My plans in My perfect timing." It isn't easy to be patient, but to trust God fully means to trust Him even when we don't understand why events occur as they do. Everything has its timing before God. Your duty is to wait, for surely, if it is His Will, it must surely come.

The passage we read today is a graphic illustration of what the apostle Paul said about Abraham’s attitude when the promise was delayed. The 18th and 19th verses say, "Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb."

God made a promise to Abraham to bless him and make him a great nation when he was seventy five years old, and the wife about sixty five years old. The promise of a child from the wife Sarah didn't come until he was a hundred years old, and the wife ninety years old. At that age Abraham was already weak in his body. It is very likely he may not have been having erection again. Again, at ninety years the wife's womb was considered dead. In all these circumstances, Abraham didn't shake in his believe of the promise of God—the Word of God.

Abraham believed in the Lord, and He counted it to him for righteousness. He hoped that God will make good His promises in the future. Hope is always in the future. It takes your faith, which is now, to hope for the future occurrence of the promise. Abraham hoped for a son, faith takes the place of hope. When the promise or answer is delayed, you wait in hope and by faith, knowing that He who promised is faithful and will do it. He is the same God that calls those things which do not exist as though they did, and they become. He is the same God who looked into the empty dark space and said, "Let there be light, and there was light."

Now, looking at verse 19, our senses will consider strongly the state of Abraham and the wife—100 and 90 years old respectively. But the angel had spoken from God, therefore, Abraham, looking to the promise of God, "He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He has promised He was also able to perform (verse 20 - 21).

That should be the attitude of believers in such circumstances. Our faith should be that God would give us anything that He had promised, and our petition would be delivered to us as Abraham's son was born to him. You take God at His Word, and your heart overflows with joy that He has given you His Word. The thing for which you have prayed simply is as He promised. You have called into being a thing that was not because His Word had given you the assurance of it. And you have been assured of receiving because He said, "I watch over My Word to perform it." (Jeremiah 1 vs 12.)

What then do you do while waiting? Let us look at Philippians 4 vs 6, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." You have done the praying. The requests have been made known. Now with thankful quietness you wait. Someone might say, "But your prayer is not answered, the fever is still there, the bill is still unpaid." You drive the vultures (discouragers) away as Abraham did on his sacrifice. You refuse them to alight upon the Word and destroy it. Anxiety is one of the destroyers, so avoid it. It can make you question God, and murmur against Him (Another set of destroyers). Your attitude should be complete patience with God while awaiting the manifestation of His promises. Hallelujah!! 

Prayer: Abba Father, endue me with the Spirit of complete rest and trust in You, that I may not waver at Your promises through unbelief, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen.

Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 19:21

As we close this year, remember that God’s plan for your life is never vague. He declares, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).
