You cannot bear fruit by your efforts alone. Jesus said the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abides in the vine. It is not the tree that carries the fruits, it is the branches. In the same way, the Christian that abides in Him and He in that Christian is the one that brings forth much fruit. If you desire a truly fruitful life in 2026, you must take abiding in Christ and walking with the Holy Spirit very seriously. The devil’s tactic is to make these simple Bible principles look old fashioned and unintelligent. He wants you to despise prayer, despise listening to the Spirit, and run after colourful charts, predictions and expert analysis. There is nothing wrong with information, but even the best projections can fail. The only sure foundation for fruitfulness that will stand the storms of life is a life that is drawing strength and direction from vital union with Christ.The greatest business decision you will ever make as a believer is to listen to the Holy Spirit. That does not mean you throw away the counsel of professionals, it means you put the Holy Spirit above them all. Whether you are a student, a banker, a trader, a doctor or a housewife, the wisest thing you can do is to enthrone the Holy Spirit as your Adviser and Guide. Let Him be your Chief Counsellor and Chief Strategist. Ask for His mind before you sit down with your calculator. Ask for His leading before you follow your feelings. The Christian doctor who listens to the Holy Spirit will operate at a higher level than the one who only relies on medical training, because there are things education cannot see that the Spirit can reveal. Do not swallow the lie that listening to God means throwing away common sense. True intelligence is when your knowledge bows to the guidance of the Spirit. Critics who mock people for following pastors do not understand that a true pastor is supposed to help you connect better with God, not replace God in your life.I want you to make up your mind that this year will be the year you deliberately cultivate a working relationship with the Holy Spirit. Stop treating Him as a vague power somewhere in heaven. He is a Person that can talk to you, warn you, restrain you and instruct you. Begin to ask Him about real issues. Ask Him which partnership to enter and which one to avoid. Ask Him what to do about that child, that health report, that opportunity. Then obey what He tells you. As you keep this vital union alive, you will find yourself making decisions that look simple yet keep turning out right. You will avoid traps that others fall into. You will enter doors that others stand outside, knocking. The degree to which you manifest the word of God this year will be tied to how much you have allowed the Holy Spirit to lead you as a son.THOUGHT TO PONDER: In the practical decisions of your daily life, whose voice do you actually follow the most, the Holy Spirit, your fears or the experts around you. What will you change this year so that the Holy Spirit truly becomes your Chief Counsellor and not a religious idea in your mind.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I receive You afresh as my Chief Counsellor and Strategist, help me to listen, to obey and to walk in the fruit that comes from Your guidance. Amen.
