SEVEN LESSONS IN THE LIVES OF BIRDS

TOPIC: SEVEN LESSONS IN THE LIVES OF BIRDS.
TEXT: MATTHEW 6: 25-30

Jesus emphasized important of having faith in God just like birds they goes out by faith and God always takes care of them and Jesus asked if we are not more important than this animals. Worry, anxiety and fear are deadly weapon of the devil but the only antidote to these is your faith and trust in God. Roman 4:17.
We want to consider seven lessons in the lives of birds and these lessons are:

Birds make a joyful noise very early in the morning. Psalms 100. It is only the winning side that makes a joyful noise to God to praise and worship God for another brand new day.2Chron20:1-24, Psalms16, Acys16:25-26. There is power in praising God.
Birds’ lunches out daily in faith to search for food likewise us faith without works is useless and we must acts towards our expectation. We must always lunch deep for a great drought through God’s word and promises in our lives. Luke 5:1-8, Hebrew11:6, James2:20.
Birds depends on the wind to fly likewise we believers we should depend on the wing of the Holy Spirit to succeed in our business, career and ministry. John 14:26 and Romans 8:14-20.
The egg shell must be broken before emergence of new bird, for us to please God we must be broken. Brokenness is all about crucifying the flesh. Romans 6:1-6, John 12:24-26,  Ga 2:20; 5:24; 6:14|

Nothing can stop a bird of sorrow from flying except its wings are cut off likewise us trials and challenges cannot stop us as long we are alive because it is after the test that will brings testimony. 1 Corinthians 10:9-13,Romans8:31-39, 1Peter1:6-9
Birds understand time and season likewise us we must know the time we are now that is technology age and season for investment in any given opportunity.1 Chronicles12:32, Eccl 3:1-5.
The eagles. This is biggest, bold and courageous birds that even storm cannot stop its movement. It has a sharp vision in locating its prey and renewing its peak by hitting hard on a rock. For to be like an eagle then we wait upon the Lord and God will renew our strength. Isaiah 40:31.
   Eagle

(Herb. nesher; properly the griffon vulture or great vulture, so
called from its tearing its prey with its beak), referred to for
its swiftness of flight (Deut. 28:49; 2 Sam. 1:23), its mounting
high in the air (Job 39:27), its strength (Ps. 103:5), its
setting its nest in high places (Jer. 49:16), and its power of
vision (Job 39:27-30).
This "ravenous bird" is a symbol of those nations whom God
employs and sends forth to do a work of destruction, sweeping
away whatever is decaying and putrescent (Matt. 24:28; Isa.
46:11; Ezek. 39:4; Deut. 28:49; Jer. 4:13; 48:40). It is said
that the eagle sheds his feathers in the beginning of spring,
and with fresh plumage assumes the appearance of youth. To this,
allusion is made in Ps. 103:5 and Isa. 40:31. God's care over
his people is likened to that of the eagle in training its young
to fly (Ex. 19:4; Deut. 32:11, 12). An interesting illustration
is thus recorded by Sir Humphry Davy:, "I once saw a very
interesting sight above the crags of Ben Nevis. Two parent
eagles were teaching their offspring, two young birds, the
maneuvers of flight. They began by rising from the top of the
mountain in the eye of the sun. It was about mid-day, and bright
for the climate. They at first made small circles, and the young
birds imitated them. They paused on their wings, waiting till
they had made their flight, and then took a second and larger
gyration, always rising toward the sun, and enlarging their
circle of flight so as to make a gradually ascending spiral. The
young ones still and slowly followed, apparently flying better
as they mounted; and they continued this sublime exercise,
always rising till they became mere points in the air, and the
young ones were lost, and afterwards their parents, to our
aching sight." (See Isa. 40:31.)
There have been observed in Palestine four distinct species of
eagles, (1) the golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos)

GOD THE LIFE TRANSFORMER

Jeremiah 18:1-12 • The Potter & the Vessel

Introduction
The Bible uses a great many things from the everyday life of those living in the ancient world to teach about the principles and character of God. A recurring illustration throughout Scripture is that of “vessels”: jars, pots, etc. It’s a powerful illustration of the relationship between the Creator and the created, of the purpose and destiny for which the Creator made us, as well as many other layers of meaning including who/what shapes us, who/what we contain, and how useful we are in the course of our life and service to others in our designated roles. This lesson takes the opportunity to explore this theme based on God’s instruction to Jeremiah concerning the potter and the clay.

1The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord saying, 2“Arise and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will announce My words to you.”
3Then I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was, making something on the wheel. 4But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make.
5Then the word of the Lord came to me saying, 6“Can I not, O house of Israel, deal with you as this potter does?” declares the Lord. “Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel. 7At one moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to uproot, to pull down, or to destroy it; 8if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it. 9Or at another moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to build up or to plant it; 10if it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will think better of the good with which I had promised to bless it.
11“So now then, speak to the men of Judah and against the inhabitants of Jerusalem saying, ‘Thus says the Lord, “Behold, I am fashioning calamity against you and devising a plan against you. Oh turn back, each of you from his evil way, and reform your ways and your deeds.”’ 12But they will say, ‘It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart. Jeremiah 18:1-12]

Q: Why must man of God must be in the potter’s house?
A: Just to witness God’s action upon His children.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb:12:1-2

Q: Why should this be of comfort to us?
A: It means that we’re not in the hands of “chance” or “blind fate” but in the hands of the Person of God Almighty, who is not just our Creator, but our Father. As our Father, He is personally concerned for our lives and wants to see the best for us.

But now, O Lord, You are our Father,
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.
Isaiah 64:8

Q: What kind of power does God the Potter hold over the clay?
A: Clay cannot mold itself, so only God has the power to properly shape and guide our life. The point of v.6-10 is that God the Potter is sovereign over   the clay. The clay needs to submit to the Potter in order to be formed into something useful according to His will.

On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it? Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use? What if God, although willing to demonstrate His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for

3 WAYS WE MISUNDERSTAND BEING BORN AGAIN.

3 Ways We Misunderstand Being BornAgain

The term “born again” is one of the most used phrases among present-day Christians. Yet if asked what the term born again means, most church members could not give a clear explanation. The importance of this subject is shown in what Jesus said, “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). Jesus is saying that to be born again is to be saved. Being born again is the plan of salvation that Jesus authored at Calvary.
We’ve all probably heard the encounter between the Pharisees Nicodemus and Jesus and the conversation they had about being born again. In John 3:3, Jesus tells Nicodemus,“Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again[b] he cannot see the kingdom of God.” It confused the scholar back then and it still confuses many today.
But sadly many Christians loosely throw around the concept and phrase, often losing the true essence of spiritual rebirth. Being born again can mean a lot of things to many people and many of the interpretations can be far from the truth. Here are three common ways that many Christians misunderstand being born again.
That being born again means being perfect
Often, believers think that when we are born into the faith as we receive Jesus into our lives that almost instantly all our vices, bad habits and problems will go away. God never says this and in fact tells us that coming into a relationship with Him is only the start of the journey.
2Corinthians 3:18says, “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” Progressively Jesus changes us into His image and likeness as He removes the occurrence of sin in our life.
That born again comes by confessing alone
Christianity is far from just being lip service. It is a faith that encompasses every part of our being. To say that “we’re Christian” alone does not mean that we now live a life in Christ. Even Romans 10:9tells us that “…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
More than just confessing with our mouths, we are to believe in our hearts, which will then result to a new way of life as we surrender to God and trust Him to do what’s best for us. That’s why it’s called faith. In Matthew 7:21, Jesus emphasized, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord, ‘will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
That we are born into a religion
Being born again does not just result simply to becoming a member of a church organization or being born into an earthly alliance. When we are born again, we are born into both a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and then consequently added to the fellowship of saints. It has very little to do with ritual and tradition and has everything to do with love and intimacy.

The truth is that you do not allow anything to turn you aside from this truth: you must be born again. If you haven’t as yet, you should do so today.

PERSEVERANCE

TOPIC: PERSEVERANCE
TEXT: 2Corinthians6:6
Definition: Longsuffering or long patience, endurance of insult, abuse or mistreatment, perseverance.
WHY.MUST A BELIEVER PERSEVERE OR ENDURE?
1. It is God's nature in goodness and truth. Exodus34:6
2. God's great mercy and forgiveness. Numbers14:18
3. Our service to God and man. Jeremiah15:15.
4. Price paid for salvation by Jesus. Romans2:4.
5. God never in haste to execute judgement on mankind. Romans9:22.
6. One of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Gal5:22
7. For us to live in humility and meekness. Ephesians4:2

CONCLUSION: Christianity is not living in a bed of roses or palatable but test, tribulation and persecution is for us to persevere is it as an spiritual examination. I don't know what you are passing through right now the word of God is encourage and persevere to seek the way an escape through our Jesus. 1Corinthians10:9-13 and John14:6

SUCCESS

*SUCCESS*

_Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage._ *Galatians 5:1*

There are two concepts which determine the victory and fruitfulness of a Christian. The first concept is maturity. Paul wrote: "We are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ . . . to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:15,13). God has given us everything we need to grow to maturity in Christ (2 Peter 1:3). But Satan is opposed to our maturity and will do anything he can to keep us from realizing who we are and what we have in Christ. We must experience victory over the dark side before we can fully mature.

The second concept of the successful Christian life is freedom. Paul declared: "It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery" (Galatians 5:1). This verse not only assures us that God wants us free, but also warns us that we can lose our freedom by returning to the law.

Before we received Christ, we were slaves to sin. But because of Christ's work on the cross, sin's power over us has been broken. Satan has no right of ownership or authority over us. He is a defeated foe, but he is committed to keeping us from realizing that. He knows he can block your effectiveness as a Christian if he can deceive you into believing that you are nothing but a product of your past, subject to sin, prone to failure, and controlled by your habits. As long as he can confuse you and blind you with his dark lies, you won't be able to see that the chains which once bound you are broken. You are free in Christ, but if the devil can deceive you into believing you're not, you won't experience the freedom which is your inheritance. I don't believe in instant maturity, but I do believe in instant freedom, and I have seen thousands of people set free by the truth. Once a person is free, you would be amazed at how quickly he or she matures!

*Prayer:* _Help me Lord, today and always, to walk in Your freedom._

*Scriptural Reading:* Galatians 5:1-15
1     Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
2      Indeed I, Paul, say to you that if you become circumcised, Christ will profit you nothing.
3     And I testify again to every man who becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to keep the whole law.
4     You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.
5      For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6     For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.
Love Fulfills the Law
7      You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?
8     This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you.
9     A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
10     I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.
11     And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased.
12     I could wish that those who trouble you would even cut themselves off!
13       For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
14      For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
15      But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!

PNEUMATOLOGY BIBLICAL DOCTRINE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

TOPIC: HOLY SPIRITThe term pneumatology comes from two Greek words, namely, pneuma meaning “wind,” “breath,” or “spirit” (used of the Holy Spirit) and logos meaning “word,” “matter,” or “thing.” As it is used in Christian systematic theology, “pneumatology” refers to the study of the biblical doctrine of the Holy Spirit. Generally this includes such topics as the personality of the Spirit, the deity of the Spirit, and the work of the Spirit throughout Scripture.
The Personhood of the Holy Spirit
The personality (and therefore “personhood”) of the Holy Spirit has been denied by certain groups throughout the history of the church. Some point out that the noun for “spirit” in the NT is pneuma which is neuter and, therefore, the spirit is correctly referred to as “it” rather than “he.” In keeping with this idea, some refer to it [him] as “God’s active force,” almost in a Gnostic sense of an emanation from the one, true God. Before we look at the Biblical evidence, it is important to point out that there is no necessary connection in Koine Greek between grammatical gender and personal gender so it is simply false to say that since the Greek noun pneuma is neuter the spirit must be an “it.”
It is important, then, to see what the Scriptures say about his personhood, i.e., is he really a person, albeit divine? This is especially so in a culture moving more toward New Age thinking and pantheism. The Holy Spirit is not the “god” within us which we possess via our own natures, nor is he some amorphous feeling or “active force.” All these views denigrate him and rightly deserve rejection.
There are several lines of evidence in the NT which argue for the personality of the Holy Spirit. First, Jesus said he would send “another” in his place (John 14:16). The word for another is allos in Greek and refers to another just like Jesus. It is reasonable to conclude from this that the Spirit is a person since Jesus is clearly a person. Further, Jesus referred to him as a
parakletos (enabler, encourager, comforter, etc.) which requires that he be a person since the functions of a parakletos are personal; Jesus functioned as a parakletos to the disciples.
Second, the fact that the Spirit makes choices (1 Cor 12:11), teaches (John 14:26), guides (John 16:13), reveals Jesus (John 16:14), convicts (John 16:8), seals believers (2 Cor 1:21-22), can be grieved (Eph 4:30), blasphemed (Matt 12:31), possesses a rational mind (Rom 8:26-27; 1 Cor 2:11-13), can be lied to (Acts 5:3-4), quenched (1 Thess 5:19), resisted (Acts 7:51), and on numerous occasions is distinguished from, yet directly linked with the Father and the Son as co-worker and co-recipient of worship, argues definitively for his personhood (Matt 28:19-20; 2 Cor 13:14).
HOW DO WE RELATE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT? John4:19-23
MAN SPIRIT.1Thess5:23
"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul" Gen.2:7
Man’s spirit is the breath of God that empowers man to acts like God. It is your real self and this explains why you can see yourself in a dream. Your enemies can only attack your spirit.
It is the resemblance of your physical body and it will go back to God that is if you are a righteous fellow and if you are not will heading to hell fire and this the reason you must be born again so that your spirit will be free from condemnation. The man’s spirit is like a reflector that reflects object or information before it being evil or good. It is your spiritual antenna to receive divine information from the Holy Spirit if you are a true believer. Before salvation, sin separates our spirit just like a mirror covered with dust that mirror hardly reflect a clear image so do sin hinder us from receiving direct information from God and Holy Spirit even when the information do come a sinner may not comprehend it. Romans 3:23  For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit t
