Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

SATURDAY JANUARY 31, 2026.

SUBJECT: WHY MANY PEOPLE HAVE A PRAYER PROBLEM!

Memory verse: "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." (Mark 11 vs 24.)

READ: Mark 11 vs 22 - 23; John 15 vs 7; 16 vs 23 - 24:

Mark 11:22: So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God."

11:23: For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

John 15:7: If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.

16:23: And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.

16:24: Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

INTIMATION:

Why do many people have a prayer problem? The problem of not being able to pray, not praying in the right words, not receiving answers to their prayers etc. They are always running around looking for who to pray for them.

The prayer problem is a problem of not having faith in God and His Word. What is faith then? Faith is believe in God and His Word. Faith bothers on the integrity of the Word, and of the ability of God to stand back of His promises or the statement of fact in His Word. It is also the believe in the loyalty or fidelity of God to His promise. People with the prayer problem have no trust and confidence in God. If you don’t have faith in God and His Word, how then can you commune with Him in prayer?

Another side to the problem is the ability of the believer to stand in the Father's presence without the sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority. Such ability is lacking in people with a prayer problem. The real question here is, "Have a believer right to stand in the Father's presence and make his or her petitions known to Him without a sense of guilt, inferiority or condemnation?"

Here are few things that every believer should know:

1. The Scripture says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (Second Corinthians 5 vs 17.) We are recreated in Christ as entirely new creations with everything about us new. Old things have all passed away, and all things are new about the believer. His or her past doesn’t exist again before God.

2. As a new creation, you have received into your spirit the life and nature of God. The old things have passed away. These old things are spiritual death, your union with Satan, and your old sins—the sins committed while you were spiritually dead, and in union with the Satan. The new creation is the product of God. It is created in Christ Jesus, it is born from above. It is born of the Holy Spirit, through the Word. And the new thing stands uncondemned and reconciled before the Father.

The moment we become new creations, we become the righteousness of God in Christ (Second Corinthians 5 vs 21). This is because you have been justified and made righteous as if you have never sinned before. The righteousness of God means the ability to stand in the Father's presence without sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority. From the moment we are born again we are sons and daughters of God.

It would be an abnormal thing if He should recreate us, impart to us His own nature, and leave us under the blighting curse of condemnation, unable to stand in His presence because of being overwhelmed with the sense of guilt and inferiority. As His children we know we have the ability to stand in God's presence free from all sense of unworthiness.

3. We know for a fact that we have a legal right in the Father's presence because we are legally born into His family, and He has legally adopted us and accepted us as His children. "The Holy Spirit Himself has born witness with our spirits that we are the children of God." (Romans 8 vs 16).

4. We know another fact, that we have a legal right to the use of Jesus' Name and whatever we ask of the Father in that name He'll give us. (John 15 vs 16; 16 vs 23 & 24). This has cleared up every issue in regard to our ability to stand before Him in the throne room without condemnation.

It is now obvious that fellowshipping with God in prayers is based on legal grounds, based on statement of facts, and not based on promises. All things belong to the believer. It is only a problem of our taking our place, enjoying our rights: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" (Ephesians 1 vs 3).

Prayer: Abba Father, thank You so much for all the inheritance You have given me in Christ for believing in His finished work on the cross for me. You have blessed me with all every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Him. Give me the enabling grace to take my place and enjoy my rights in Christ, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

Five Purposes for Suffering

 'Five Purposes for Suffering

For those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

We seldom know the micro reasons for our sufferings, but the Bible does give us faith-sustaining macro reasons.

It is good to have a way to remember some of these so that, when we are suddenly afflicted, or have a chance to help others in their affliction, we can recall some of the truths God has given us to help us not lose hope.

Here is one way to remember: 5 R’s (or if it helps, just pick three and try to remember them).

The macro purposes of God in our sufferings include:

Repentance: Suffering is a call for us and others to turn from treasuring anything on earth above God. Luke 13:4–5:

“Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem? No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

Reliance: Suffering is a call to trust God and not the life-sustaining props of this world. 2 Corinthians 1:8–9:

We were so utterly burdened beyond our strength that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead.

Righteousness: Suffering is the discipline of our loving heavenly Father so that we come to share his righteousness and holiness. Hebrews 12:6, 10–11:

“The Lord disciplines the one he loves, and chastises every son whom he receives.” . . . He disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Reward: Suffering is working for us a great reward in heaven that will make up for every loss here a thousandfold. 2 Corinthians 4:17:

This light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.

Finally, Reminder: Suffering reminds us that God sent his Son into the world to suffer so that our suffering would not be God’s condemnation but his purification. Philippians 3:10:

. . . that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings.

So, it is understandable that the Christian heart would cry out in suffering, “Why?” since we don’t know most of the micro reasons for our suffering — why now, why this way, why this long? But don’t let that ignorance of the micro reasons cause you to overlook the massive help God gives in his word by telling us his macro purposes for us.

“You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful” (James 5:11).

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

FRIDAY JANUARY 30, 2026.

SUBJECT : THE HEART THAT GOD HEARS!

Memory verse: "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the LORD will not hear me." (Psalm 66 vs 18.)

READ: Mark 11 vs 22 - 26:

11:22: Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God."

11:23: For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

11:24: Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

11:25: "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

11:26: But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."

INTIMATION:

When we fail to confess our sins, and repent of them, or when we harbor and cherish certain sins, we place a wall between us and God. We may not be able to remember every sin we have committed, but our attitude should be one of confession and obedience. Our confession of sin must be continual because we continue to do wrong.

A heart filled with the spirit of heaviness receives nothing from God. Let go, lighten your heart, free your heart to create space to receive from God. A heart crowded, and burdened with iniquity: wickedness, unforgiveness, injustice, evil, hatred etc, is so filthy, and crowded with negativities that it cannot receive anything good, especially from the Lord. Such heart attitude quench the Spirit, thereby dampening the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Forgiving others is tough work; so much so that many people would rather do something totally distasteful in vengeance than offer forgiveness to someone who has wronged them. For a person to pray with a heavy heart, bearing grudges, is, however, like a tree sprouting leaves and bearing no fruit, fruitful in appearance only, but is spiritually barren.

The heart bearing grudges, can never at the same time harbor blessings. Don't deceive yourself; God cannot be mocked; for whatever you so in your heart, that you shall also reap (Galatians 6 vs 7). Therefore, make your choice. You cannot be on the two sides of the divide at the same one time.

Effective prayer involves; an attitude of faith; complete dependence on God. Faith filled prayer changes the heart, dismantles pride and vengeance, filling the holes; the spaces occupied by grudges, hatred, injustice, wickedness etc, with love, and speaks peace, forgiveness, and harmony.

Our prayers must have a bias for God's kingdom, and must not be with selfish motives. Our prayers are often motivated by our own interests and desires. When we pray, we can express our desires, but we should want His Will above ours. For instance, Jesus, our role Model, prayed thus; "Abba, Father, all things are possible to You; take away this cup from me: nevertheless, not what I Will, but what You Will" (Mark 14 vs 36). Jesus prayed with God's interests in mind. Check yourself to see if your prayers focus on your interests or God's.

The attitude of faith in God is not something we can obtain without help from Him. Faith is a gift from God. The Scripture, in Ephesians 2 vs 8 - 9, clearly says:- "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." No matter how much faith we have, we never reach the point of being self sufficient. Growing in faith is a constant process of daily renewing our trust in Jesus Christ.

Therefore, God will answer your prayers, not as a result of your mental attitude, but because the following other conditions must be met;

1. You must be a believer.

2. You must not hold a grudge against another person.

3. You must not pray with selfish motives.

4. Your request must be for the good of God's kingdom.

Prayer: Abba Father, my total trust, and confidence is in You. I come to You with a heart of love and peace. I forgive all that have offended me, believing You have forgiven me my trespasses. Therefore, attend to my cry, and deliver to me my needs according to Your Will, not mine, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen.

Prevailing Grace

 Prevailing Grace

“I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners.” (Isaiah 57:18)

Learn your doctrine from biblical texts. It stands up better that way, and feeds the soul.

For example, learn the doctrine of irresistible grace from texts. In this way, you will see that it does not mean grace cannot be resisted; it means that when God chooses, he can and will overcome that resistance.

In Isaiah 57:17–19, for instance, God chastises his rebellious people by striking them and hiding his face: “Because of the iniquity of his unjust gain I was angry, I struck him; I hid my face and was angry” (verse 17).

But they did not respond with repentance. Rather, they kept backsliding. They resisted: “But he went on backsliding in the way of his own heart” (verse 17).

So grace can be resisted. In fact, Stephen said to the Jewish leaders, “You always resist the Holy Spirit” (Acts 7:51).

What then does God do? Is he powerless to bring those who resist to repentance and wholeness? No. He is not powerless. The next verse says, “I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will lead him and restore comfort to him and his mourners” (Isaiah 57:18).

So, in the face of recalcitrant, grace-resisting backsliding, God says, “I will heal him.” He will “restore.” The word for “restore” is to “make whole or complete.” It is related to the word shalom, “peace.” That wholeness and peace is mentioned in the next verse which explains how God turns around a grace-resisting backslider.

He does it by “‘creating the fruit of the lips. Peace, peace (shalom, shalom), to the far and to the near,’ says the Lord, ‘and I will heal him’” (Isaiah 57:19). God creates what is not there — peace, wholeness. This is how we are saved. And this is how we are brought back from backsliding — again and again.

The grace of God triumphs over our resistance by creating praise where it did not exist. He brings shalom, shalom to the near and the far. Wholeness, wholeness to the near and the far. He does it by “restoring,” that is, replacing the disease of resistance with the soundness of submission.

The point of irresistible grace is not that we can’t resist. We can, and we do. The point is that when God chooses, he overcomes our resistance and restores a submissive spirit. He creates. He says, “Let there be light!” He heals. He leads. He restores. He comforts.

Therefore, we never boast that we have returned from backsliding. We fall on our faces before the Lord and with trembling joy thank him for his irresistible grace that conquered all our resistance.

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

THURSDAY JANUARY 29, 2026.

SUBJECT: SEEK FIRST SPIRITUAL NEEDS!

Memory verse: "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6 vs 33.)

READ: Luke 10 vs 38 - 42:

10:38: Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.

10:39: And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.

10:40: But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.”

10:41: And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.

10:42: But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

INTIMATION:

Having right priorities produce good choices. Our spiritual needs should take precedence over our physical needs. It is good to care for our physical needs, but the spiritual needs of man are always more important. Therefore, one must not use the service of physical needs as an excuse to neglect the spiritual needs that is more important in our lives. Even in offering your service, let your service be of your best interest, and best desired by whom you are offering the service to. Avoid your service becoming self-serving, or degenerate into mere busywork, that is not to your best interest, and that of whom you are serving.

In the passage we read today, Mary and Martha were both in service to Jesus in their house, the One they both loved. But Martha was very busy with the household chores, and was distracted with much serving, which was a wrong priority for her at the time, though she was doing a needed and good work. The physical needs of her guest should not have taken precedence over her spiritual needs which was the most important thing her guest has to deliver. She didn't realize that in her desire to serve the physical needs, she was actually neglecting her guest’s desire for her to give the spiritual need.

God should be first in our lives, therefore, we should seek Him and His Word first before any other thing. The Word of God is our spiritual need that ought to take precedence over our physical needs. You can be so busy doing things for Jesus that you're not spending any quality time with Him. It is likened to being busy with assigned duties in your service unit in the church that you don't hear the preaching from the pulpit. Jesus, realizing the wrong priorities of Martha, gently corrected her and advised her to set her priorities right.

Though Martha’s works were good but were not to her best interest. She got so busy that she found it hard to relax and enjoy her guest. Her service to Jesus degenerated into mere busywork that was no longer full of devotion to Him. The personal attention she gave her guests should be more important than the comforts she tried to provide for them. Avoid your service being self-serving or busywork like Martha's

You may be working for God effectively and still not serving Him appropriately. This was the sin of Jehu. In Second Kings 10 vs 30 - 31 the Bible says: "And the Lord said to Jehu, 'Because you have done well in doing what is right in My sight, and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in My heart, your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation. But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart, for he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin."

Jehu had become God's instrument for carrying out justice, but he had not become God's servant. Check the condition of your heart toward God, ensure you are not giving only lip service to God. We can be very active in our work for God and still not give the heartfelt obedience He desires. Our greatest desire should be to live in the presence of the Lord each day of our lives. Sadly, this is not the greatest desire of many who claim to be believers. Many substitute commitment and obedience to God, and His Word with busywork in form of services to the church, which, to a large extent, is self-serving—wanting to be seen as workers in His vineyard while their heart is far away from Him.

Being in His presence requires communion with Him through prayers, and hearing from Him. We most effectively hear from Him via His Word. Therefore, total attention is required from us to His Word. Any services we offer that takes away our complete attention to His Word degenerates into self-service, or busywork.

Prayer: Abba Father, engrace me with the wisdom and understanding to seek first my spiritual needs in order to serve You appropriately; in my best interest, and with total commitment and attention to You, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

Caused to Return

 Caused to Return

Cause us to return, O Lord, that we may return! (Lamentations 5:21, my translation)

There is no hope for God’s people unless God causes them to return from their sliding and leaping into sin and unbelief.

The book of Lamentations is the bleakest book in the Bible. God himself had decimated the apple of his eye: Jerusalem.

The Lord gave full vent to his wrath; he poured out his hot anger, and he kindled a fire in Zion that consumed its foundations. (Lamentations 4:11)

He has killed all who were delightful in our eyes. (Lamentations 2:4)

The Lord has afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions. (Lamentations 1:5)

So how does the book end?

It ends with the only hope there is:

Cause us to return, O Lord, that we may return! (Lamentations 5:21)

That is my only hope — and your only hope!

Jesus said to Peter, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers” (Luke 22:31–32).

Not if you return. But when you return. I have prayed for you! You will return. And when you do, it will be my sovereign grace that brought you back from the precipice of apostasy.

Christian, this is true for you. This is your only hope of perseverance in faith. Glory in it.

Christ Jesus is the one who . . . is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. (Romans 8:34)

He will cause us to return. Therefore, “to him who is able to keep you from stumbling . . . be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever” (Jude 1:24–25). Amen!

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

WEDNESDAY JANUARY 28, 2026.

SUBJECT : A PURE HEART GUARANTEES ACCESS TO GOD!

Memory verse: "Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God." (Matthew 5 vs 8.)

READ: Psalm 24 vs 3 - 4:

24:3: Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place?

24:4: He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, nor sworn deceitfully.

INTIMATION:

A pure heart is the foundation for prayers that command answers from heaven. Preparing your heart in purity is the first step to establishing a viable communication link with God, because prayer can only flow when sin is absent. It takes a pure heart and pure hands to approach the presence of God.

Whatever pollutes or corrupts your heart blocks your access to heaven's hotline. The psalmist says in Psalm 66 vs 18, "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear." Since the purity of your heart is the determining factor in receiving answers to prayers, your heart must be adequately prepared to ensure that your exercise in prayers does not end in futility.

Our communication with God has its root in the heart. This is because the heart is the abode of the spirits—the spirit of man (the inward man), and the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit). The communion of the spirits is in the heart; the Holy Spirit communes with our inward man, and through this communion the heart intent, the real you is revealed to God.

The heart is the altar upon which the sacrifices of praise and the incense of prayers are offered. The Bible says in First Samuel 16 vs 7, "....For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks on the the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." Therefore, your heart must be adequately prepared, and consecrated to God for Him to hear you.

It is not what you do or say outwardly that guarantees a release from heaven, but what goes on in your heart. In fact, what becomes of you ultimately in the kingdom is a function of what goes on in your heart. When your heart is upright, the words that your lips utter are pure knowledge (Job 33 vs 3), and acceptable to God.

God rates you by what He sees in your heart. That means, there is no outstanding answer to prayers without first an outstanding preparation in the heart. God does not reckon with the outward appearance, neither is He moved by physical efforts; what moves Him is your heart. Therefore, your heart must be set for an encounter with Him when you pray.

In First Samuel 1 vs 13, the Bible says, "Now Hannah, she spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken." She spoke in her heart, but God heard her. Her real self was known to God who saw her pure heart and sincere supplication, and He granted her petition.

Each time the children of Israel sought an encounter with God, they always made a sin offering (Leviticus 9 vs 3 - 4). The sin offering covers their sin and purifies their hearts. For instance, before Elijah's mount Carmel victory, the first thing he did was to repair the broken down altar, which in the New Testament order represents the heart (First Kings 18 vs 30). If anything has tampered with God's altar in your life, then get set to repair it; because until that is done, communication in prayer with Him cannot be established.

In the New Testament order, the sin offering represents the renewing of your covenant position through consecration of your heart to God. With this in place you can't miss Him. Every blessing in Scriptures is reserved for the righteous and that includes the blessing of answered prayers.

Sin is a barrier to prayers. It offends our Holy God and separates us from Him. Because God is holy, He cannot ignore, excuse, or tolerate sin as though it didn't matter. You can't embrace sin and expect God to embrace you. Therefore, only the pure in heart should expect to see God in their affairs. If God must hear you, you must first hear Him.

Prayer: Abba Father, You are Holy, and Your eyes do not behold iniquity. Only those with a pure heart can successfully approach You. O Lord, create in me a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within me, that I may be worthy of receiving from You that which You reserves for the righteous, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

How to Repent

 How to Repent

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

A vague, bad feeling that you are a crummy person is not the same as conviction for sin. Feeling rotten is not the same as repentance.

This morning I began to pray, and felt unworthy to be talking to the Creator of the universe. It was a vague sense of unworthiness. So I told him so. Now what?

Nothing changed until I began to get specific about my sins. Crummy feelings can be useful if they lead to conviction for specific sins. But vague feelings of being a bad person are not usually very helpful.

The fog of unworthiness needs to take shape into clear dark pillars of disobedience. Then you can point to them and repent and ask for forgiveness and take aim with your gospel bazooka to blow them up.

So I began to call to mind the commands I frequently break. These are the ones that came to mind.

Love God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Not 95%, but 100%. (Matthew 22:37)

Love your neighbor as you love yourself. Be as eager for things to go well for him as you are for things to go well for you. (Matthew 22:39)

Do all things without grumbling. No grumbling — inside or outside. (Philippians 2:14)

Cast all your anxieties on him — so you are not being weighed down by them anymore. (1 Peter 5:7)

Only say things that give grace to others — especially those closest to you. (Ephesians 4:29)

Redeem the time. Don’t fritter away the minutes, or dawdle. (Ephesians 5:16)

So much for any pretensions to great holiness! I’m undone.

This is much worse than vague, crummy feelings. Ah, but now the enemy is visible. The sins are specific. They’ve come out of hiding. I look them in the eye. I’m not whining about feeling crummy. I’m apologizing to Christ for not doing specific things that he commanded.

I’m broken, and I’m angry at my sin. I want to kill it, not me. I’m not suicidal. I’m a sin-hater and a sin-murderer. (“Put to death what is earthly in you,” Colossians 3:5; “Put to death the deeds of the body,” Romans 8:13.) I want to live. That’s why I’m a killer — of my sin!

In this conflict, I hear the promise, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Peace rises.

Now, prayer feels possible and right and powerful again.

Prayer for Divine Financial Abundance

Prayer for Divine Financial Abundance

Grantme, O Lord, the wisdom and discernment to see beyond the material possessions of this world and recognize the true abundance that comes from You. Fill my heart with a deep desire for Your riches, which neither moth nor rust can corrupt, and which thieves cannot steal.

I command all financial worries to be cast into the depths of the sea, where they will never rise again. I declare that every barrier and obstacle in my path to financial prosperity shall fall at my feet and be utterly destroyed. May Your power overshadow my circumstances, so that every blockage is nullified and dissolved by the might of Your name.

Pour upon me Your Holy Spirit as a powerful anointing that will guide me in making wise decisions and securing a prosperous future. I trust in You to provide abundantly for all my needs, not only in this life but also in eternity. May every opportunity that comes before me be blessed by Your hand and lead me to success.

I command the winds of financial prosperity to blow directly into my path, filling me with abundance both spiritually and materially. Let no adversary stand against me, nor any scheme devised against me prosper. May all schemes, plans, and plots of the enemy be thwarted and rendered ineffective in my life.

May every debt I carry be canceled and forgiven, just as You have forgiven me. Deliver me from the chains of financial bondage that bind me, so that I may walk free under Your provision. Give me a heart to give generously, for where there is giving, blessings flow back to me.

I declare that my life is filled with an overflowing abundance, not only in material possessions but also in joy, peace, and spiritual wealth. May every area of my financial life be blessed and prosperous, including my work, investments, and relationships. Let every form of prosperity come to me as a result of Your favor and power.

I lay down all fears, doubts, and insecurities that have held me back from receiving Your abundant blessings. I trust in You completely, believing that whatever You have promised in Your Word will be fulfilled for my life. Remove any hindrance or restriction that stands between me and the fullness of Your provision.

May I be an example to others, demonstrating the power of faith and obedience when it comes to financial matters. Let every obstacle be broken, and let every barrier fall as I walk by faith in You. Amen.

SUBJECT: THE NEED FOR INTERCESSORY PRAYER!

Memory verse: "So I sought for a man among them, who should make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.” (Ezekiel 22 vs 30.)

READ: Psalm 106 vs 23:

Therefore He said that He would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before Him in the breach, to turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.

INTIMATION:

Intercessory prayer is a never-ending opportunity to join God in His work, while at the same time, you have a chance to be transformed both in heart and circumstance. Not just a few are called to pray for others; we are all called to pray unceasingly for all of God's people. Are you wondering if praying for others makes a difference? Here are eight amazing things that happen when you pray for others:

1. When we intercede in prayer, we participate in God's work. There are many people in our lives who need prayer. At times their needs are clear. Other times we may not know what to pray. Either way, when we pray for others, we join God in His work in their lives.

If you are not sure what to pray, follow the exhortation of Apostle Paul to Timothy in First Timothy 2 vs 1 - 4: “Therefore I exhort first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercession and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” Being obedient in praying for others clears the way for God's work and Will to be done.

2. When we pray for others we emulate Jesus. In the book of Luke, we find Jesus praying often. He goes to His Father in prayer as His ministry begins. As we can see in Scriptures, Jesus prayed for His disciples and about everything. By bringing petitions of prayer on behalf of others, we imitate our Savior. Jesus said to Peter, “....Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail, and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” (Luke 22 vs 31 - 32.)

3. When we pray for others, we share in their burdens. In Philippians 2 vs 3 - 4, the apostle Paul reminds us to put others above self, and to consider the needs of others more important than our own. Our nature is to do the opposite. Our first thought is to pray that our burdens be lifted or erased altogether. It is humility that allows us to pray for others earnestly. And by offering prayers for the relief of others and sharing their burdens, our burdens seem lighter, and eventually lifted.

4. By praying for others, we join the ministry of reconciliation. The apostle Paul said that God reconciled the believers with Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given them the ministry of reconciliation, or working to help others know Jesus, embrace salvation, and God's love. (First Corinthians 5 vs 18). Our first tool is prayer. Praying for others puts us in the middle of God's work to bring everyone to Himself. By praying for others, we are ministers in the work of salvation, opening the gospel to those in our prayers. God wants everyone to be saved, and we are invited to be part of the work. (First Timothy 2 vs 3 - 4.)

5. When we pray for others, we learn to trust God. If we depend on our strength and abilities, we cannot accomplish God's Will. Only through surrendering to God is He able to work through us to accomplish His desires in our prayers for others. When we offer intercessory prayers, pleading with God on behalf of loved ones and friends, we are trusting in His ability to answer, and He does. We are giving up our capabilities to answer and depending on God to keep His promise to answer our prayers.

6. When we pray for others, we are also changed. Prayer is not a matter of changing things externally, but one of working miracles in a person's inner nature. While we pray for others, we plead with God to intercede in their lives, perhaps to bring healing or strength in difficult times. But we are also opening our hearts for change. When we pray for others, we connect to the One who has the power to transform the hearts of others and bring change to their circumstances. At the same time, it amends our hearts.

7. Praying for others glorifies God. When we practice intercessory prayer, we glorify the only One who can answer prayers. Our prayers display trust in God, our belief in Christ, and when prayers are answered, we praise Him for His faithfulness. Our prayers glorify God. Praying is not just a conversation. Prayer is praise for the work God will do through our prayers.

8. God answers when we pray for others. As Christians, our prayers do not bounce off the ceiling or dissipate like fog. God hears when we pray for others, and He answers. The answer may not come quickly, nor may the reply be what we expected. Or, because God is gracious, we receive much more than we asked. Either way, God answers our prayers when we pray for others. Our prayers are powerful, and our loving God wants us to know through His answer to our plea that He has the power and authority to answer whatever we ask in accordance with His Will.

Prayer should not be regarded as a duty which must be performed, but rather as a privilege to be enjoyed, a rare delight that is always revealing some new beauty.

Prayer: Abba Father, endue me with the excellent spirit of prayer and supplication with thanksgiving in all things, and giving myself to praying for others, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

He Knows Your Need

 He Knows Your Need

“Do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.” (Matthew 6:31–32)

Jesus wants his followers to be free from worry. In Matthew 6:25–34, he gives at least seven arguments designed to take away our anxiety. One of them lists food and drink and clothing, and then says, “Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all” (Matthew 6:32).

Jesus must mean that God’s knowing is accompanied by his desiring to meet our need. He is emphasizing we have a Father. And this Father is better than any earthly father.

I have five children. I love to meet their needs. But my knowing falls short of God’s knowing in at least three ways.

First, right now I don’t know where any of my children are. I could guess. They’re in their homes or at work or school, healthy and safe. But they might be lying on a sidewalk with a heart attack.

Second, I don’t know what is in their heart at any given moment. I can guess from time to time. But they may be feeling some fear or hurt or anger or lust or greed or joy or hope. I can’t see their hearts. They don’t even know their own hearts perfectly.

Third, I don’t know their future. Right now they may seem well and steady. But tomorrow some great sorrow may befall them.

This means I can’t be for them a very strong reason not to worry. There are things that may be happening to them now, or may happen tomorrow, that I do not even know about. But it is totally different with their Father in heaven. Our Father in heaven! He knows everything about us, where we are, now and tomorrow, inside and out. He sees every need.

Add to that, his huge eagerness to meet our needs. Remember the “much more” of Matthew 6:30, “If God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you?”

Add to that his complete ability to do what he is eager to do (he feeds billions of birds hourly, around the world, Matthew 6:26).

So join me in trusting the promise of Jesus to meet our needs. That’s what Jesus is calling for when he says, “Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.”

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

MONDAY JANUARY 26, 2026.

SUBJECT: NEGATIVE EMOTIONS DENY US ANSWER TO OUR PRAYERS!

Memory verse: "Then they will cry to the LORD, but He will not hear them; He will even hide His face from them at that time, because they have been evil in their deeds" (Micah 3 vs 4.)

READ: Isaiah 59 vs 1 - 2:

59:1: Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

59:2: but your iniquities have separated you from your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.

INTIMATION:

As believers, we have heard that our confession is our possession—what we say is what we get. But there are times we can't get what we say. These are times when we bear loads of grudges, resentment, envy, hatred, anger, unforgiveness, and like negative emotions. The loads of such emotions are very heavy and costly to our relationship with God, because they are regarded as sin.

The dictionary definition of sin is "a moral offense or shortcoming, especially from the point of view of religion." It is a rebellion against God's laws, a perversion of heart. "Sin is a reproach to any people" (Proverbs 14 vs 34), as well as to God.

Though we may have been dragged into such negative emotions by wrongdoing to us by another, but these emotions hurt us more than they hurt the one who has wronged us. This is because, if our faith is strong and our prayer is persistent, there is only one thing that can stand in the way of answered prayer—getting what you say, and it is un-repented sin.

In the passage we read today, the prophet Isaiah says that the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save, neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear when we call upon Him, but our iniquities have separated us from our God, and consequently, He hides His face from us, and refuses to listen to us nor hear our prayers. What a terrible condition for a Christian; being unable to talk to God!

When we understand what our resentment does to us, we see how much better it is for us to allow our enemies to get away with their cruelty, even murder, and forgive them, rather than hold a grudge and cut ourselves off from God. God knows the heart of our enemy, and repays accordingly without needing any helps from us. The Bible tells us that vengeance is God's business, not ours.

We should have regard for good things in the sight of all men: "Repay no evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine; I will repay,' says the Lord. Therefore “If your enemy is hungry feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12 vs 17 - 21.)

God takes vengeance on our enemies because He is just, and perfect in all His ways. Ours is to do good at all times. The writer of Hebrews agreed with the apostle Paul when he says; “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord, looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled” (Hebrews 12 vs 14 - 15).

However, an unforgiving spirit is so destructive that we are warned that when God does take vengeance on our enemies, He is not expecting us to be gladdened that He did so: "Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; lest the Lord see it, and it displease Him, and He turn away His wrath from him" (Proverbs 24 vs 17 - 18).

Once you understand the destructiveness of "getting even," you will be able to ask God to keep you from resentment in all its forms. In Matthew 5 vs 39 Jesus commanded us thus; "But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also." Jesus is suggesting that our response to injustice should not be demanding our right, but to give it up freely! According to Him it is more important to give justice and mercy than to receive it.

Jesus said in Mark 11 vs 25; "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses." Only in so doing that you receive what you ask in prayers.

Study Acts 13 vs 42 - 51, on the account of two God's steadfast servants, both spirit-filled men, Paul and Barnabas in Antioch where they preached and taught. The Gentiles heard and were glad and glorified God, and all those who believed received the Spirit and were ordained to eternal life. The Jews, however, incited the devout men and women against Paul and Barnabas and drove them from the city. They left, and they were filled with joy in the Holy Spirit, and never had any desire for retaliation. The Spirit-filled life doesn't seek revenge but joyously reflects the presence of God within.

Prayer: Abba Father, uproot any root of resentment, unforgiveness, and other negative emotions that separate me from You, that I may be found a worthy son, living at peace with all people and have regard for good things in the sight of all, in Jesus’ Name I prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

The Giver Gets the Glory

 The Giver Gets the Glory

To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 1:11–12)

It is very good news that God designs his glory to be magnified through the exercise of his grace.

To be sure, God is glorified through the power of his wrath (Romans 9:22), but repeatedly the New Testament (and the Old Testament, for example, Isaiah 30:18) says that we should experience God’s grace so that God gets glory.

Ponder how this works in the prayer of 2 Thessalonians 1:11–12.

Paul prays that God would fulfill our good resolves.

How? He prays that they would be done “by [God’s] power.” That is, that they would be “[works] of faith.”

Why? So that Jesus would be glorified in us.

That means the giver gets the glory. God gave the power. God gets the glory. We have faith; he gives power. We get the help; he gets the glory. That’s the deal that keeps us humble and happy, and keeps him supreme and glorious.

Then Paul says that this glorification of Christ is “according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus.”

God’s answer to Paul’s prayer that we rely on God’s power to do good works is grace. God’s power to enable you to do what you resolve to do is grace.

That’s the way it works in the New Testament over and over. Trust God for gracious enabling, and he gets the glory when the help comes.

We get the help. He gets the glory. That’s why Christian living, not just Christian conversion, is good news.

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

SUNDAY JANUARY 25, 2026.

SUBJECT: THE THIN LINE BETWEEN GRACE AND FAITH!

Memory verse: "Jesus said to her, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” (John 11 vs 40.)

READ: Mark 9 verse 23 - 29:

9:23: Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.

9:24: Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord I believe, help my unbelief!”

9:25: When Jesus saw that the people came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you, come out of him and enter him no more!”

9:26: Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said, “He is dead.”

9:27:But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.

9:28: And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?

9:29: So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”

INTIMATION:

There is a very thin line between grace and faith that is often missed by many. Because these two work together, the line between them is difficult for many to discern. And if we do miss it, our lives become confused. Many trust their faith to meet their needs. When their needs are not met, then they tried to have more faith because they are unable to discern the very fine line between faith and grace. They are not seeing beyond their faith to seek the grace of God (the power of God) to meet their needs.

Most people seemed to base all achievements on their faith, when, in reality, every victory or achievement is based on God's faithfulness bestowed on us by His grace—the power of God. If we frustrate the grace of God, we are going to feel frustrated. This explains why, by the grace of God, we receive our petition even when our faith is near zero.

In our memory verse, Jesus told Mary that it was only her faith (her believe) that would make her see the glory of a God (the power of God) raise the brother Lazarus from the dead. And this was the reason why Jesus said in Matthew 17 vs 21, "...if you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there," and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you." It is not the tiny faith (as tiny as the tiniest seed on earth) that will move the mountain, but the mighty power of God (the grace of God) which came through your tiny faith to bring about the answer to the petition.

For instance, Jesus had faith (great faith I supposed) all the time He was suffering. He had faith while in the Garden of Gethsemane. He had faith before the high priest and Pilate. He had faith when He was being ridiculed, abused and mistreated. He had faith on the way to Golgotha. He had faith while hanging on the cross. He even had faith while His body lay in the tomb; He had absolute faith that God would not leave Him there but would raise Him up, as He had promised.

At the point of completing His task, when God separated from Jesus, His faith was shaken hence His question, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?" That is "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27 vs 46). That was an indication of His shaken faith. Consequently, Jesus called the Father 'My God,” instead of 'My Father' He had all through called Him before then. For all of Jesus’ faith, nothing happened until the power of God came forth to bring about the resurrection. His faith only kept Him stable until the Father's appointed time for His deliverance. We can have all the faith in the world, but it will avail us nothing until it is 'plugged into' the source of power, which is the grace of God.

In order to get our needs met, in order to receive anything from the Lord, we must have both faith and grace. It is by grace through faith that we are saved. And it is by grace through faith that all our prayers are answered and all of our needs are met. Keep your eyes on God to deliver you, not your faith. In Second Timothy 2 vs 13, the Bible says, "If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself." The Bible is teaching us here to get our eyes off our ability to believe (as the ultimate), but rather on God's willingness to meet our needs even though we do not have perfect faith.

In the passage we read today, the man asked Jesus for healing of his son. Jesus told him that all things are possible to those who believe. The man replied, "Lord, I believe! Help my unbelief" or "Help my weakness of faith!" The man knew his faith was lacking, but he was honest about it, and Jesus healed his son. God's grace (power) came on the scene and gave the man what he did not deserve considering his faith—his believe. Jesus made it clear to His disciples that it’s not the faith or believe, but the power or grace of God, which can only be activated to deliver to us by prayer, or by prayer and fasting, in some cases.

Prayer: Abba Father, You are ever faithful, even in my unfaithfulness, and Your steadfastness never seizes. Endue me with spirit of complete obedience and trust in You, casting all my cares upon You, knowing that there is nothing difficult nor beyond your power, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

THE CAPACITY TO OVERCOME CAME WITH YOUR SALVATION PACKAGE

Date: Sunday, January 25th, 2026

Title: THE CAPACITY TO OVERCOME CAME WITH YOUR SALVATION PACKAGE

Revelation 2:7, 1 John 5:4

When Jesus wrote to the churches in Revelation, He kept repeating one word: OVERCOMER. To Ephesus, He said, “To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God” (Revelation 2:7). God is not raising a group of pampered Christians that collapse when people talk against them or cut them out of their circle because they stand for righteousness. He is raising sons and daughters that can walk through affliction, persecution, blasphemous names and evil speaking and still keep their walk with God intact. This kingdom is for overcomers. There are things to overcome in every generation, and you will not be the first Christian to face what you are facing now. If you keep your vital union with Jesus and stay with the programmes of your future that the Holy Spirit is running in your life, the very things that look as if they will swallow you will become the stepping stones by which you eat of the tree of life in your own destiny. If you are born again, you have the nature of an overcomer already inside you. What makes a lion different from a goat is not the beard, it is the heart. Many unbelievers dress like you, talk like you and even carry Bible, but what makes you different is that God has put the spirit of the overcomer inside you. 1 John 5:4 says, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” You are not a loser, you are not a failure, and you must stop talking like one. Caleb looked at the same giants that terrified Israel and said, “We are well able to overcome it,” and God said he had a different spirit. That same different spirit is at work in you as you follow the Holy Spirit and feed on the word. Tell the devil today, my case is different, I am an overcomer in Christ Jesus.Overcomers are people that refuse to stay down. Losers give up, overcomers get up. You may have been knocked down in business, in ministry, in academics or even in a relationship, but you can come back from every setback because of the life of God inside you. Do not let any experience rename you. Do not sit down inside self pity and call yourself names that God did not call you. Start doing what overcomers do. Fill your mouth with the right words. Wake up in the morning and declare, “I am not a failure, I am not a loser, I am coming back from every setback.” As you resume obedience and keep your gaze on Jesus, the Holy Spirit will bring you out on a higher level. Men will look at your life and see fruits that prove that the overcomer nature God gave you is real.THOUGHT TO PONDER: How have you been speaking about yourself in the face of challenges, like an overcomer or like a victim?

Prayer: Lord, thank You for giving me the heart of an overcomer help me reject every loser identity, rise from every setback and walk in the victory You have given me in Christ, in Jesus Name. Amen.

SUBJECT : GRACE AND FAITH WORK TOGETHER!

Memory verse: "So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you." (Luke 17 vs 6.)

READ: Hebrews 11 vs 4 - 7:

11:4: By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.

11:5: By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not sea death, "and was not found, because God has taken him", for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

11:6: But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

11:7: By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

INTIMATION:

There is a very fine line between grace and faith that is often missed by many.

This explains why, by the grace of God, we receive our petition even when our faith is near zero: "So Jesus said to them, "Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there," and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17 vs 20.)

It is not the tiny faith (as tiny as the tiniest seed on earth) that will move the mountain, but the mighty power of God (the grace of God) which came through your tiny faith. All the faith story at the dawn of history, in the passage we read today, were the power of God (the grace of God) manifesting. But without faith, it is impossible to plug into the power source—the grace of God.

Jesus had faith (great faith I supposed) all the time He was suffering.

But do you realize that for all His faith, nothing happened until the power of God came forth to bring about the resurrection? His faith only kept him stable until the Father's appointed time for His deliverance. We can have all the faith in the world, but it will avail us nothing until it is 'plugged into' the source of power, which is the grace of God.

In order to get our needs met, in order to receive anything from the Lord, we must have both faith and grace. It is by grace through faith that we are saved. And it is by grace through faith that all our prayers are answered and all of our needs are met: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2 vs 8.)

In Second Timothy 2 vs 13, the Bible says, "If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself." The Bible is teaching us here to get our eyes off our ability to believe (as the ultimate), but rather to God's willingness to meet our needs even though we do not have perfect faith.

Remember the man who came to Jesus asking for healing of his son. Jesus told him that all things are possible to those who believe. The man replied, "Lord, I believe! Help my unbelief" or "Help my weakness of faith!" The man knew his faith was lacking, but he was honest about it, and Jesus healed his son. (See Mark 9 vs 17 - 24.) God's grace (power) came on the scene and gave the man what he did not deserve.

Keep your eyes on God to deliver you, not your faith. But always pray with faith for the grace of God (unmerited favor) to come upon you, and enable you to meet all your needs.

Prayer: Abba Father, You are my source of everything. By my strength I cannot prevail, for without you can do nothing. My eyes are upon You. Give me the grace to have faith in Your power to help me always obtain a good testimony of Your grace working in me and for me in all things, in Jesus' Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

DEVELOPING AN OVERCOMER’S HEART TO BECOME FRUITFUL

Date: Saturday, January 24th, 2026

Title: DEVELOPING AN OVERCOMER’S HEART TO BECOME FRUITFUL

Romans 8:17, 1 Samuel 17:32

Anywhere the Bible talks of us as partakers of the glory of Christ, it talks of suffering with Him. Romans 8:17 says “if we suffer with Him, we shall also be glorified together.” The suffering the Bible is talking about here is not the affliction of the devil that you must resist, it is the affliction of the gospel. It is the training that God allows so that the wealth of maturity can come out of you. If you go through that training beautifully without complaint, it matures you. If you go through it murmuring, you will repeat the class. God will not pamper you in a way that weakens you. What you are going through now is doing something to your heart if you allow it. The question is, will it build in you the heart of an overcomer or the heart of a quitter? When Goliath showed up, everybody in Israel had size and training, but only one boy had heart. Saul was taller than everybody, yet he did not have the heart for the fight. David had not attended any military school, but the lion and the bear he fought in the bush had done something to his inside. The private battles you are facing now are not a waste. Overcomers are not people who never meet tough situations, they are people who refuse to give up inside those situations. Many times when Christians lose, it is not because the devil is stronger, it is because they gave up too quickly. Many parents have accepted what they should have resisted. If the devil comes to attack your child with sickness, stand your ground and tell him to take his hands off. If it will take you twenty one days of fasting and prayer, give it. As a couple, labour together and build. You do not have time to start another marriage, another destiny, another calling. Let this year be the year you tell yourself, I will not negotiate away my future. I will not bow to fear. I will stay with God in the training until my heart becomes strong. As you allow the Holy Spirit to work like this on your inside, you will discover that you are not just a churchgoer, you are truly an overcomer, and your life will bear fruits that remain.THOUGHT TO PONDER: What does the way I handle pressure say about my heart today, and what changes must I embrace so that God can trust me with bigger battles and bigger fruits?

Prayer: Lord, work on my heart and deliver me from fear and quitting. Give me the heart of an overcomer that stands with You for my life, family and assignment until Your will is done. In Jesus name. Amen.

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

FRIDAY JANUARY 23, 2026.

SUBJECT : SIN AND GOD’S FORGIVENESS!

Memory verse: "If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land." (Second Chronicles 7 vs 14.)

READ: Second Chronicles 6 vs 36 - 39:

6:36: When they sin against You, (for there is no one who does not sin), and You become angry with them, and deliver them to their enemies, and they take them captives to a land far or near;

6:37: yet when they come to themselves in the land where they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to You in the land of their captivity, saying, ‘We have sinned, we have done wrong, and have committed wickedness’;

6:38: and when they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have been carried captives, and pray toward their land which You gave to their fathers, the city which You have chosen, and toward the temple which I have built for Your name:

6:39: then hear from the heaven Your dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications, and maintain their cause, and forgive Your people who have sinned against You.

INTIMATION:

Sin is a condition we all share, and we all should acknowledge it. The Bible makes it clear that no one is exempt from sin. The Scriptures say, “What is man, that he should be clean? and he who is born of a woman, that he could be righteous? If God puts no trust in His saints, and the heavens are not pure in His sight, How much less man, who is abominable and filthy, who drinks iniquity like water!” (Job 15 vs 14 - 16.)

No one but God is perfect, all of us stand guilty before Him (Romans 3 vs 23) and need His forgiveness. No matter how well we perform or how much we achieve compared to others, none of us can boast of his or her goodness when compared to God’s standard. God not only expects us to obey His laws, but He wants us to love Him with all our heart. No one except Jesus Christ has done that perfectly. Because we all fall short, we must turn to Christ to save us (Romans 10 vs 9 - 11).

The Scripture says, “For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin.” (Ecclesiastes 7 vs 20.) No one can say I am pure from sin. As soon as we confess our sin and repent, sinful thoughts and actions begin to creep back into our lives. We all need ongoing cleansing, moment by moment. Thank God for He provides forgiveness by His mercy when we ask for it. Make confession and repentance a regular part of your talks with God. Rely on Him moment by moment for the cleansing you need.

The four conditions God has given us for forgiveness are: (1) Humble yourself by admitting your sins. Humbling yourself before the Lord is the first condition for seeking God’s forgiveness. God hears and dwells with the humble: “For thus says the High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy; “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” (Isaiah 57 vs 15.)

(2) Pray to God, ask for forgiveness. Prayer is to make supplication or petition to God. It is a call of love of the Father to come and fellowship with Him. Prayer is our need crying out for help with the voice of faith to the Father. Prayer therefore, is born out of the sense of need, and the assurance that the need will be met. In summary, prayer is God's Will and part of His program for us, to come before Him with our needs.

(3) Seek God continually. To seek the Lord is to search for Him, and desire to know Him, even the more. It is God’s delight that we seek Him; The Lord said, “Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and did not forsake the ordinance of their God: they ask of Me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching God.” (Isaiah 58 vs 2). The Scripture says, “Seek the LORD and His strength, seek His face continually.” (First Chronicles 16 vs 11.)

(4) Turn from sinful behavior. True repentance is more than talk—it is changed behavior. Turning from your sinful ways is actually acknowledging that your former ways are unacceptable, and you genuinely desire to change. True repentance also involves a commitment not to continue in sin. We wouldn’t be genuinely repenting from our sins if we planed to commit them again, and just wanted temporary forgiveness. We should also pray for strength to defeat temptation the next time we face it.

God will answer our earnest prayers, and knowing we have a tendency to sin should keep us close to God, seeking His guidance and strength. When we realize we have sinned, we should quickly ask God for forgiveness and restoration.

Prayer: Abba Father, You are so merciful; forgiving my sins and remembering them no more. I desire to be in fellowship with You always, and for the endowment of Your grace to live a purposeful life in line with Your Will, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

FAITHFUL UNTO THE END

Date: Friday, January 23rd, 2026

Title: FAITHFUL UNTO THE END

Revelation 2:10, James 1:12

When Jesus spoke to the church in Smyrna, He did not promise them a life without pressure. He said, “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer” (Revelation 2:10) and He told them plainly that some would be cast into prison so that they would be tried. That does not sound like the modern gospel of convenience, but it is the voice of the Master who has passed through death and is now alive forevermore. James says the man that endures temptation will receive a crown of life (James 1:12). God does not waste suffering. Every pressure that meets you inside a vital union with Christ is meant to end in praise, honour and glory, not disgrace. If you will grow in fruitfulness, you must have settled some decisions and buried them. There are matters that must be closed in your spirit so that you are no longer negotiating them with the devil. You settle that you will live by faith, even if it means standing when it is not popular. You settle that you will walk in holiness, even if it means losing some relationships. You settle that you will obey God, even when obedience looks like the slower road. The Lord told Smyrna to be faithful unto death. That is not only about physical martyrdom. It is a call to an attitude that says, “Satan, even if I must stand on this promise for as long as it takes, I am not backing down.” Many believers stand for a short while and then collapse when the answer delays. The problem is not that faith does not work, the problem is that they did not stay long enough on the faith lane.As we move further into this new year, God is looking for men and women who will not only shout hallelujah in church but will stand with Him on Monday morning when the furnace is hot. The three Hebrew boys told the king that even if God did not deliver them, they would still not bow. That is the kind of posture that makes the devil afraid of you. Faithfulness unto death is not stubbornness in your own will, it is stubborn loyalty to the will of God as revealed by the Holy Spirit and the word. Check your life today. Where have you been treating obedience as a trial arrangement that you can cancel if it becomes uncomfortable? As you stay in vital union with Jesus, settle your decisions, and refuse to give up, the same pressures that threatened to break you will become the pathway by which you wear your own crown of life.THOUGHT TO PONDER: What decisions about faith, obedience and holiness do I still keep on the negotiation table whenever pressure comes, instead of settling them once and for all before God?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, deliver me from the fear of suffering and from a weak, unstable heart. Help me to settle my decisions in Your will and to stay faithful until the end in every assignment You give me. Amen.

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

THURSDAY JANUARY 22, 2026.

SUBJECT : HAVE A CONTINUED ATTITUDE OF PRAYER!

Memory verse: "Pray without ceasing." (First Thessalonians 5 vs 17.)

READ: Luke 18 vs 1 - 8:

18:1: Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,

18:2: saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.

18:3: Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary,’

18:4: And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man,

18:5: yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’”

18:6: Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said.

18:7: And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?

18:8: I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”

INTIMATION:

It is the desire of the Father that His children approach Him in prayer. It is through prayer that, not only the inward man is strengthened, but also the work of God is called upon by the believer to function in his or her life. Prayer is the natural response of those who recognize their need for the help of God in their lives. Most Christians have realized the fact that the Father's heart is hungry for the companionship of His children. His heart hunger is the reason for man’s redemption. God wants a constant fellowship with His children. It was His plan from the beginning hence He visited Adam everyday in the Garden. He loves us and that love impels Him to call us to prayer.

Prayer is the call of love of the Father to come and fellowship with Him. Prayer is our need crying out for help. It is the voice of faith to the Father. It is for this reason that the Lord wants us to always pray; always be in His presence. Prayer, then, is facing God with man's needs, with His promise to meet those needs. It is born out of the sense of need, and the assurance that the need will be met. The Lord taught us to pray, He is one with us in this prayer life. Prayer is part of God's program for us.

It is God's Will that His children will come to His Throne Room, to stand in His presence without reproof or condemnation. It is for this reason that Jesus Christ, while teaching His disciples how to pray, said, "When you pray" (Matthew 6 vs 5), and not "If you pray." It is God's intention that His children will visit their Father, the children coming joyously into the presence of their Loving Parent, and are welcome.

The apostle Paul, in consonance with the Lord’s demand, says we should pray without ceasing; persist in prayer and not give up; continuing steadfastly, and earnestly in it, and being vigilant in it with thanksgiving (Romans 12 vs 12; Colossians 4 vs 2). To persist in prayer does not mean endless repetition or painfully long prayer sessions. It means keeping our requests constantly before God as we live for Him day by day, believing He will answer. Emphasis here is not on a continued action of prayer, but on a continued attitude of prayer. In other words, the believer should be in a state of mind that he or she can at all times take part in the action of praying to the Father; being of an attitude at all times that is conducive for offering prayer to God.

When we live by faith, we are not to give up. God may delay answering, but His delays have good reasons. As we persist in prayer we grow in character, faith, and hope. When we pray, we are in constant communication with the Father and it enriches us spiritually. We touch the Father through our prayers, and there cannot be any touching of the Master without the Master knowing it. When our need touches Him, it makes a demand upon his ability to meet that need.

For instance, one day when the crowd was pressing around the Master, Jesus said, "Who touched Me?" And they said, "Master, the multitudes throng and press You, and You say, "Who touched Me?" But Jesus said, "Somebody touched Me, for I perceived power going out from Me." (Luke 8 vs 45 - 47.) Touching the Master is making a demand from Him. The woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, touched Him, making a demand upon His ability to meet her need, and the Master knew it, and she got her need met—she was healed of the disease (See Luke 8 vs 40 - 48).

In the passage we read today, we learned that the Lord wants us to persist in prayer and not give up. It’s a Christian behavior, and an expression of our faith that God answers our prayers. Faith shouldn’t die if the answers come slowly, for the delay may be God’s way of working His Will in one’s life. He is ever present—Omnipresent—, always listening, always answering, may be not in ways you had hoped, but in ways that He knows are best as the All-knowing—Omniscient God. If the unjust judge responds to constant pressure, how much more will a great and loving God respond to us? If we know He loves us, we can believe He will hear our cries for help.

Prayer: Abba Father, You are my Loving Father, and Faithful Companion. Endue me with the spirit of continuous prayer and supplication to You, making my requests known to You, with thanksgiving, believing that You will come through to me, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!
