Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 31, 2025.

SUBJECT : BE PATIENT WITH GOD!

Memory verse: "For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry." (Habakuk 2 vs 3.)

READ: Romans 4 vs 16 - 22:

4:16: Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

4:17: (as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which be not as though they did;

4:18: who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.”

4:19: And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb

4:20: He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

4:21: and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

4:22: And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness."

INTIMATION:

It is pertinent to wait to receive from God after you have presented your petition in prayers to Him. Our memory verse is the answer God gave prophet Habakkuk. God's answer to Habakkuk is the same answer He would give you and I; "Be patient! I will work out My plans in My perfect timing." It isn't easy to be patient, but to trust God fully means to trust Him even when we don't understand why events occur as they do. Everything has its timing before God. Your duty is to wait, for surely, if it is His Will, it must surely come.

The passage we read today is a graphic illustration of what the apostle Paul said about Abraham’s attitude when the promise was delayed. The 18th and 19th verses say, "Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, "So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb."

God made a promise to Abraham to bless him and make him a great nation when he was seventy five years old, and the wife about sixty five years old. The promise of a child from the wife Sarah didn't come until he was a hundred years old, and the wife ninety years old. At that age Abraham was already weak in his body. It is very likely he may not have been having erection again. Again, at ninety years the wife's womb was considered dead. In all these circumstances, Abraham didn't shake in his believe of the promise of God—the Word of God.

Abraham believed in the Lord, and He counted it to him for righteousness. He hoped that God will make good His promises in the future. Hope is always in the future. It takes your faith, which is now, to hope for the future occurrence of the promise. Abraham hoped for a son, faith takes the place of hope. When the promise or answer is delayed, you wait in hope and by faith, knowing that He who promised is faithful and will do it. He is the same God that calls those things which do not exist as though they did, and they become. He is the same God who looked into the empty dark space and said, "Let there be light, and there was light."

Now, looking at verse 19, our senses will consider strongly the state of Abraham and the wife—100 and 90 years old respectively. But the angel had spoken from God, therefore, Abraham, looking to the promise of God, "He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He has promised He was also able to perform (verse 20 - 21).

That should be the attitude of believers in such circumstances. Our faith should be that God would give us anything that He had promised, and our petition would be delivered to us as Abraham's son was born to him. You take God at His Word, and your heart overflows with joy that He has given you His Word. The thing for which you have prayed simply is as He promised. You have called into being a thing that was not because His Word had given you the assurance of it. And you have been assured of receiving because He said, "I watch over My Word to perform it." (Jeremiah 1 vs 12.)

What then do you do while waiting? Let us look at Philippians 4 vs 6, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." You have done the praying. The requests have been made known. Now with thankful quietness you wait. Someone might say, "But your prayer is not answered, the fever is still there, the bill is still unpaid." You drive the vultures (discouragers) away as Abraham did on his sacrifice. You refuse them to alight upon the Word and destroy it. Anxiety is one of the destroyers, so avoid it. It can make you question God, and murmur against Him (Another set of destroyers). Your attitude should be complete patience with God while awaiting the manifestation of His promises. Hallelujah!!

Prayer: Abba Father, endue me with the Spirit of complete rest and trust in You, that I may not waver at Your promises through unbelief, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen.

ENDING THE YEAR WITH DESTINY ALIGNMENT IN MARRIAGE

Date: Wednesday, December 31st, 2025

Title: ENDING THE YEAR WITH DESTINY ALIGNMENT IN MARRIAGE

Jeremiah 29:11, Proverbs 19:21

As we close this year, remember that God’s plan for your life is never vague. He declares, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11). Marriage is one of the most critical junctions in fulfilling those thoughts. Proverbs 19:21 reminds us, “There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.” Your ideas, emotions, and preferences may be many, but it is only God’s counsel that guarantees peace and fulfilment in marriage. Ending the year well means resolving in your heart to let God, not flesh, define your choice and sustain your union.Looking back, some may see mistakes, wrong turns, or even regrets in relationships. Yet, God is merciful and able to realign your life. A wrong marriage can slow destiny, but sincere repentance and consecration can still bring restoration. What matters now is surrender—choosing to submit your heart afresh to God’s will and refusing to carry old errors into a new year. Don’t idolise your desires or bow to family pressure; those things may give temporary satisfaction but cannot preserve destiny. Only heaven’s counsel can secure a marriage that becomes a fortress for your calling and a legacy for your children. As you step into a new year, commit yourself to accuracy in marriage. Singles must resolve to wait on God for His choice, not man’s substitute. Married couples must choose to align their homes with divine purpose, fighting for agreement and raising a godly seed. Let this year end with your heart fully surrendered to God’s standard. Marriage is too weighty to gamble with, but when it is aligned with destiny, it becomes a fountain of strength and joy. May the coming year find you walking in His counsel, building a marriage that serves His eternal programme.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Am I closing this year fully surrendered to God’s counsel in marriage? Will I let His plan define my choices as I step into the new year?

Prayer: Lord, as this year ends, align my marriage and choices with Your counsel. Let the coming year advance my destiny, not hinder it.

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

TUESDAY DECEMBER 30, 2025.

SUBJECT : ESSENTIALS OF AN EFFECTUAL AND WINNING PRAYER!

Memory verse: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” (Philippians 4 vs 6.)

READ: Matthew 6 vs 9 vs 13:

6:9: In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

6:10: Your kingdom come. your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.

6:11: Give us this day our daily bread.

6:12: And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors.

6:13: And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen..

INTIMATION:

Prayer is making supplication or petition to God. It is speaking fervently to God in order to express thanks or make a request, and earnestly entreating God in sincerity of your intention. It’s the greatest privilege and ministry available to any Christian. It is the greatest assets for the believer. Indeed everyone who seeks to take his or her place in the kingdom of God should seek or learn how to pray effectively. Prayer is not optional for the believer because it is one of our vital covenant responsibilities.

Because prayer, in itself, is our fellowship with the Father, He awaits us to come to him in prayers, and consequently welcomes us in fellowship with Him. It is noteworthy that our Master, Jesus, never taught His disciples how to preach but rather taught them how to pray; He said to His disciples "When you pray" and not "If you pray," and it’s for this reason that the Word of God admonishes us to pray always; "Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart." (Luke 18 vs 1.) And "pray without ceasing." (Thessalonians 5 vs 17.)

Prayer has remained the key to an excellent way to maintain a constant grace of God in your life and correct priorities throughout the day. A disciplined prayer life entails going to God in prayers often, preferably three times a day; morning, afternoon and night. The Psalmist in Psalm 55 vs 17 says:-"Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice"

Unfortunately, however, many people have tales of ineffective use of this asset, or have failed in their battles against the devil and his cohorts. The reason being that they have failed to properly engage the essentials of effectual and winning prayer. They have failed to take advantage of the privilege, or they approached it wrongly.

The apostle James in his epistle, James 4 vs 2 - 3, tells us the reason for their failure,

"You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss....."

James mentions the most common problems in prayer. These problems he enumerated as; not asking, asking for the wrong reasons, asking for the wrong things, asking for the wrong purposes. Until you know the meaning of prayer and how to pray correctly, you cannot win with prayer, and will never be free from pressures. It takes praying aright to be heard and to win. The kingdom of God is a kingdom governed by principles. Everything is expected to be done according to the guidelines of the Word of God, otherwise it will yield no profit.

Your answers to the questions listed below will help you know how rightly or wrongly you have engaged the essential of effectual and winning prayer:-

1. Do you talk to God at all?

2. If yes, when do you talk to Him?

3. What do you talk about?

4. Do you ask only to satisfy your desires?

5. Do you seek God's approval for what you already planned to do?

Sincere self-evaluation will help you so much in achieving the right fellowship with the Father in heaven and our Messiah Jesus Christ.

To ensure our adherence to right principles for effectual and winning prayer, Jesus taught His disciples how to pray. The prayer is anchored on four essential points:-

1. Praises to God.

2. Pray for His work in the world.

3. Pray for our daily need.

4. Pray for help in our daily struggles.

Our Lord’s Prayer, enumerated in the passage we read today, is the prototype for effectual and winning prayer. It is a failure-proof prayer guide. It is called “our Lord's Prayer” because Jesus gave it to the disciples. When you get it right winning is assured.

Prayer: Abba Father, endue me with the spirit of supplication with thanksgiving unto You, that my prayers may ascend to You with a sweet smelling savor, pleasing and acceptable to You for my good, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

BIRTH ISHMAEL IN MARRIAGE

Date: Tuesday, December 30th, 2025

Title:  BIRTH ISHMAEL IN MARRIAGE

Genesis 16:2, Galatians 4:23

When marriage is handled outside divine order, the result is Ishmael—something born of impatience and flesh that wars against the promise. Sarah, weary of waiting, told Abraham, “Go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her” (Genesis 16:2). Abraham yielded, and Ishmael was born. Galatians 4:23 explains, “He who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.” That one decision, though seemingly practical, birthed a conflict that continues to this day. The lesson is clear: when you step outside God’s process in marriage, you invite battles that will outlive you. Many Christians, under pressure of age, culture, or family expectations, have made Ishmael choices in marriage. They thought they were solving a problem, but they created bigger ones. Ishmael marriages drain peace, sap strength, and complicate destiny. Unlike Isaac, who came by promise, Ishmael came by human calculation. God is not obliged to back what He didn’t initiate. That is why some unions are full of constant strife—because they were born out of flesh, not Spirit. Don’t assume that because a choice looks logical or convenient, it is divine. Flesh can birth, but only Spirit produces promise.Practically, wait for Isaac. Don’t marry just to silence pressure or please people. Refuse to let impatience push you into wrong unions. Ask yourself: “Is this marriage born of Spirit or of flesh?” If you are already married, don’t despair—commit your home to God and trust Him to turn what looks like Ishmael into a platform for grace. But if you are still waiting, don’t compromise. Isaac always comes, though he may tarry. The will of God will never be late. Marriage is too serious for experiments; only what is born of promise will carry destiny without sorrow.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Am I allowing pressure to push me into birthing Ishmael in marriage? Am I willing to wait for Isaac, God’s covenant choice, no matter how long it takes?

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from impatience that births Ishmael. Help me to wait for Isaac, the covenant fulfilment of Your promise.

WHEN MARRIAGE BECOMES A SNARE

Date: Monday, December 29th, 2025

Title: WHEN MARRIAGE BECOMES A SNARE

Judges 16:19–20, Nehemiah 13:26

Marriage is meant to be a blessing, but outside God’s will, it becomes a snare. Samson, anointed from the womb, lost his consecration and strength through his involvement with Delilah. The Bible says, “She made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head… And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him” (Judges 16:19–20). Nehemiah also reminded Israel how even Solomon, the wisest king, was corrupted by strange women: “Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him… nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin” (Nehemiah 13:26). A wrong marriage can neutralise the strongest anointing and silence the greatest wisdom.Satan knows he may not confront your calling directly, so he works to infiltrate through your spouse. Once your partner is a wrong influence, battles multiply inside the home, draining the strength you should spend on destiny. Many have entered marriages that looked attractive but became cages—prayer died, vision faded, and consecration was lost. Marriage is a covenant, and covenants amplify whatever they carry. If it is right, it multiplies strength; if wrong, it multiplies sorrow. Don’t assume you are too strong to be affected—Samson and Solomon were greater, yet they fell through wrong marital ties.Practically, never ignore red flags in relationships. If a man or woman pulls you away from God, mocks consecration, or despises your call, that is not a partner—it is a snare. Don’t baptise bondage with emotions. If you are single, let God’s choice alone be your compass. If you are already married, refuse to surrender to despair. Align your union to God in prayer, break every foothold of the enemy, and fight for your home to become a platform of strength again. Marriage can either advance destiny or imprison it—the choice depends on whether you let God lead.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Am I discerning enough to see when marriage is a snare rather than a blessing? Am I allowing God to lead me, or am I letting my emotions tie me into bondage?

Prayer: Lord, preserve me from marital snares. Let my marriage be a channel of strength, never a cage of sorrow.

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

SUNDAY DECEMBER 28, 2025.

SUBJECT : THE WORD IN OUR RECREATION!

Memory verse: "Of His own Will He brought us forth by the Word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures." (James 1 vs 18.)

: First Peter 1 vs 23 - 25:

1:23: Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and forever,

1:24: because “All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away,

1:25: but the Word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

INTIMATION:

No one would ever have been redeemed by one’s own efforts. You could never have gotten in there by your own efforts. You had to be born of the Holy Spirit (John 3 vs 5). You have to be recreated through the energy of the Word; for He says, "Of His own Will have we been begotten through the Word." (James 1 vs 18 and First Peter 1 vs 23). It is not of man. It is not of the Will of the flesh, it is of the Will of our own heavenly Father. (John 1 vs 13.) It is through the Father's Word. It is by the energy of the Holy Spirit that Eternal Life has been given to us, and we have become New Creations.

The new creation in Christ—the confession and believe in our Messiah, Jesus Christ—is based upon legal grounds. You have come into the Father's family because you responded to His call. You have received the Word—Jesus Christ, who was God, and with God in the beginning (John 1 vs 1 - 2). You have received Him, and believed in His name, and He has given you the legal right to become His child (John 1 vs 12).

What Jesus taught—His Word, and what He did—His works are tied inseparably to who He is. Although Jesus took upon Himself full humanity and lived as a man, He never ceased to be the eternal God who has always existed, the Creator and Sustainer of all things, and the source of eternal life. This is the truth about Jesus and the foundation of all truth.

The Scripture in Psalm 33 vs 6 says that the Word is agent of creation, and the source of God’s message to His people through the prophets (Hosea 4 vs 1), and also God’s Law, His standard of holiness (Psalm 119 vs 11). This same Word became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1 vs 14).

All who welcome Jesus—the Word—as Lord of their lives are reborn spiritually, receiving new life from God. Through faith in Him, this new birth changes us from the inside out—rearranging our attitudes, desires, and motives. Being born makes you physically alive and places you in your parents’ family. Being born of God makes you spiritually alive and puts you in God’s family (John 1 vs 12).

The passage we read today was a quotation by the apostle Peter from the Book of Isaiah 40 vs 6 - 8. He reminded us that everything in this life—possessions, accomplishments, people—will eventually fade away and disappear. Only God’s Will, Word, and work are permanent. Therefore, we must stop grasping the temporary, and begin focusing our time, money, energy on the permanent: The Word of God and our eternal life in Christ. God’s Word is eternal and unfailing; it is constant, and only in God’s eternal Word will we find lasting solutions to our problems and needs.

Prayer: Abba Father, You are the same with Your Word. I am recreated by Your Word, and in Your Word lies all answers to my problems and needs. Endue me greatly with Your Word that I may live a victorious and all sufficient life, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

DESTINY DEMANDS A MARRIAGE OF AGREEMENT

Date: Sunday, December 28th, 2025

Title: DESTINY DEMANDS A MARRIAGE OF AGREEMENT

Amos 3:3, Matthew 18:19

Marriage is not just about sharing a house—it is about sharing a destiny. Scripture asks, “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” (Amos 3:3). Jesus also affirmed, “If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 18:19). Agreement is the backbone of destiny fulfilment in marriage. Where there is agreement in the Spirit, strength multiplies. Where there is discord, destiny is delayed or derailed.Agreement in marriage is not about trivial things like favourite meals or hobbies; it is about alignment in purpose, values, and obedience to God. If a man is pursuing ministry but his wife despises it, frustration is inevitable. If a woman is consecrated but her husband resists the things of God, her fire will eventually be quenched. Agreement is spiritual, not sentimental. It is standing side by side, facing the same direction, and pulling in the same Spirit. The devil knows this power, which is why he works to plant seeds of disagreement in homes. Once agreement is lost, prayers are hindered, and destinies are crippled.Practically, don’t ignore spiritual agreement when making marital choices. Sisters, ask plainly: “Does this man’s spirit align with mine in pursuing God’s purpose?” Brothers, ask: “Will this woman walk with me in obedience or fight against the call of God on my life?” If the answer is no, then don’t proceed. For those already married, fight for agreement. Pray together until your spirits align. Refuse to allow bitterness, pride, or distractions to weaken your unity. Destiny demands agreement; without it, your marriage becomes a burden instead of a blessing.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Is my marriage or relationship marked by spiritual agreement or silent discord? Am I intentionally cultivating unity of purpose with my partner?

Prayer: Lord, give me a marriage of true agreement that multiplies strength and accelerates destiny.
