MAKE JESUS CHRIST YOUR ROLE MODEL!

Make Jesus Christ Your Role Model!

“As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:” Colossians 2:6 (KJV)

Making Jesus Christ your role model puts you on the pedestal of greatness. The children of God have everything in life to prosper therewith. The LORD Almighty has given Jesus Christ to the whole world (John 3:16). For those in the kingdom of God, He has made Jesus their role model, but not everyone has taken Jesus as a role model (Hebrews 12:2). Some have made certain personalities in the world their role model. Beloved, the danger is that if those personalities misconduct themselves, their followers turn to replicate their mistakes. However, if Jesus Christ is your role model, there is no way your life will be full of misconduct and mistakes. You will walk in Him and your life will move from glory to glory. Dear beloved, meditate on the opening scripture and gain a heart of wisdom. The additional benefits of making Jesus Christ your role model are that you become rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith, and overflowing with thankfulness (Colossians 2:7). Beloved, make Jesus Christ your role model and see your life move from glory to glory and from perfection to perfection. Praise the Lord! You are an overcomer!

Prayer Point: My loving Father, thank You for giving me a role model to look up to. I pray for Christians all over the world that even though they may have other people as their role models, they would make Jesus Christ their ultimate role model—so that they would not be deceived but be rooted, built up in Him, strengthened in faith, and overflowed with thankfulness in Jesus’ name. Amen!

FELLOWSHIP WITH THE GODHEAD!

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

THURSDAY MARCH 04, 2021.

SUBJECT : FELLOWSHIP WITH THE GODHEAD!

Memory verse: "Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” (John 8 vs 12.)

READ: First John 1 vs 3 - 7:

1:3: That which we have seen and heard we declared to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.

1:4: And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.

1:5: This is the message which we have heard from Him and declared to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.

1:6: If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness we lie and do not practice the truth.

1:7: But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

INTIMATION:

The highest honor God has ever conferred upon us is to be joint-fellowshippers with the Godhead—the Father, with His Son, and with the Holy Spirit—in carrying out His dream for redemption of the human race. This fellowship is the very mother of faith, the parent of joy, the source of victory, and He has called us individually into fellowship with His Son.

Jesus is the light of the world. He is the Creator of life, and His life brings light to humankind. In His light, we see ourselves as we really are (sinners in need of a Savior). If you have fellowship with Him—the true Light, you will have the light and can ovoid walking blindly and falling into sin. If you are walking in the light as He is in the light, He lights the path ahead of you so you can see how to live. Fellowship with the Godhead is in prayer, and meditation in His Word; in this, prayer becomes one of the sweetest privileges, and one of the greatest assets that we have fallen heir to in Christ. Consequently, your joy is guaranteed to be full.

As a believer in fellowship with Him you are not alone, you are not left to your own resources to cope with problems. Even when you don't know the right words to pray, the Holy Spirit prays with, and for you, and God answers. If the Holy Sprint is voicing the desires of the Father through your lips, those desires will be met and granted. With God helping you to pray, you don't need to be afraid to come before Him. Romans 8 vs 26 then can be a reality; "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

Light represents what is good, pure, true, holy, and reliable. Darkness represents what is sinful, and evil. The statement “God is light” means that God is perfectly holy and true and that He alone can guide us out of the darkness of sin. Light is also related to truth, and that light exposes whatever exists, whether it is good or bad. In the dark, good and evil look alike; in the light, they can be clearly distinguished. Just as darkness cannot exist in the presence of light, sin cannot exist in the presence of a holy God.

Our fellowship with the Godhead is the very heart reason for redemption. Fellowship means sharing, equally bearing the burden, sharing in the victories. In First Corinthians 1 vs 9 the Bible says, "God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord." He has called us to share with His Son.

Again a believer, in fellowship with the Godhead, it is necessary for us to know the authority of the name of Jesus; not as a part of a creed or a doctrine, but to know it as an actual reality.  The Father has given us the power of attorney to use the name of Jesus, and that name has all authority in heaven and on earth. (Philippians 2 vs 9 - 10). That makes us absolute masters of satanic forces: "In my name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover” (Mark 16 vs 17 - 18); “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it (John 14 vs 14); “Whatever you shall ask of the Father in My name He will give it you." (John 15 vs 16; 16 vs 23).

This is limitless. It is the limitlessness of the prayer life and it belongs to every child of God. Therefore, fellowship with the Godhead—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—is the key of life, that is walking in the light of the world. You will never stumble but have the best of life, and consequently, receive the crown of glory—eternal life with Him.

Prayer: Abba Father, You have called me into fellowship with You, Your Son, and Your Holy Spirit. In You there is no darkness but the light of life. Give me the grace never to fall out of fellowship with You the Triune God; fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of You, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

AS THE FATHER IS SO HIS CHILDREN SHOULD BE!

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

WEDNESDAY MARCH 03, 2021.

SUBJECT : AS THE FATHER IS SO HIS CHILDREN SHOULD BE!

Memory verse: "Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgement, because as He is, so are we in this world." (First John 4 vs 17.)

READ: Hebrews 11 vs 1 - 3:

11:1: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

11:2: For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

11:3: By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

INTIMATION:

God is a faith God, therefore His children should be faith children. God’s faith nature is as expressed in the passage we read today, "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible" (Hebrews 11 vs 3). God called the universe into existence out of nothing, he declared that it was to be, and it was.

All that God did to create the universe was to say, "Let there be.” He said, "Let there be an earth," and the earth came into being. “Let there be light in the firmament of heaven to give light upon the earth," and the sun, moon, and stars came into being. God's only machinery for creation was His Word. In that Word was the faith of God expressed. God first believed it into being.

God has given us His nature in the new birth; “as He is so are we in this world.” We have learned overtime that our words can be filled with either faith or unbelief, or cold speculation. Faith gives substance to the Word of God. It gives substance to the things we hoped for. Faith makes man God-like, just as love makes him God-like. Our whole struggle in the faith life is to take the Word of God instead of the word of man—to rest in God's Word rather than in man's word.

God is a faith God, and when man links up with God, he becomes a faith man. He and God work, and walk together. The believer is a faith person. He does not walk by reason. He does not walk by sense knowledge. He lives and walks in the realm of faith as expressed in Second Corinthians 5 vs 7:- "For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Take note of the Scriptures in Hebrews 11 vs 1; "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Or "a reality of things not seen." You never expect anything now, for which you hope. Hope is always in the future. There is nothing firm, or solid or tangible about hope. But faith gives reality to the things that you have hoped for, that you never would have had otherwise. In Romans 4 vs 17, the Bible says, "(As it is written, 'I have made you a father of many nations') in the presence of Him whom he believed - God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did." That is faith by God.

Speaking of Abraham in the next verse (18) He said, "Who in hope believed against hope, to the end that he might become a father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken." This is a striking Scripture. Abraham had a battle with hope. Finally he arrived. He believed against hope. He counted God's word to be absolute.

Now, look at Romans 4 vs 19 - 21; "And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform."

Reason would have conquered had he yielded to it. Reason said, "Tradition shows that no man has ever had youth renewed, that no woman past ninety years of age has ever had a child. Yet this man believed against all the evidence of sense knowledge, and counted that God was able to make good what He had promised. Abraham moved into God's class. He counted the things that were not as though they were, and they became. He counted his body to be as good as it was at the age of thirty five years. He considered Sarah to be as young, and capable of bearing children. He counted the thing that was not as though it was, and it became.

God created us in His image and after His likeness, and gave us His nature the new creation, hence you and I should be like Him; faith man, or faith woman.

Prayer: Abba Father, in You I live, and move , and have being. Engrace me to build up my faith absolutely in You, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

DO YOU KNOW GOD`S PLAN?

 Do You Know God’s Plan?

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”  Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)

As a child of God, you need to be informed about God’s plan for your life. Knowing God’s plan gives you a sense of direction to work with Him in fulfilling it (Proverbs 11:9). Lacking the knowledge of His plan leads to unnecessary struggles and suffering (Hosea 4:6). Beloved, He has indicated in the opening scripture that His plan for your life is to give you the peace that you need, and secondly to bring you to an expected end. The expected end is a lovely future and fulfillment. If the plan you have for your own life is different from the plan that God has for you, it will be difficult for you to achieve it. That is why it is important to find out what God has laid down for you. As a child of God, God is your father and as earthly fathers plan for their children so does God plan for His children (Matthew 23:9). Ask God for the plan He has laid down for you and He will tell you. He will speak to you through His Word, in your dream, by the Holy Spirit, etc. After you have found it, pursue it to the end. It is only His plan for you that will give you the peace, gladness, and prosperity that you desire. Praise the Lord! Be an overcomer!

Prayer Point: My loving Father, thank You for being a good Father to me. I now know You have a perfect plan for me. Please reveal Your thoughts and plan for me so that it will be easier to work with You in bringing it to pass in Jesus’ name. Amen!

BELIEVE YOU ARE A NEW CREEATION!

Believe You Are A New Creation!

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

The moment you become born again, you are no longer seen as a candidate of the world. You become a new creation, born into the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:13). Your old nature of sin is taken away and your candidature of hell is taken away. You now become a candidate of heaven and a partaker of the Holy Spirit, who is the seal of your faith (Ephesians 1:13). It is something that happens spiritually because God is a Spirit (John 4:24). Thus, you must believe what God says about you and walk in it. Beloved, believing that you are a new creation catapults you into the life of Christ. Since you are now a new creation, your language and the way you think are very important. Your thought and speech should be governed by the Holy Scriptures (Philippians 4:8). Know who you are as a child of God in His Word and only follow and declare His Word concerning your life no matter the prevailing circumstances. As you do say them in faith, your life will move from glory to glory. Hallelujah!

Prayer Point: My dear heavenly Father, thank You for making me a new creation. Thus, my past of sin, disease, disgrace, worldly philosophy, and every reproach is taken away. As You lead and guide me by Your Word and Your Spirit, I will only think of Your Word, say what Your Word says I am, and do what Your Word says I should do to continually shine for You in Jesus’ name. Amen!

GOD IS THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE OF THE BELIEVER!

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

TUESSDAY MARCH 02, 2021.

SUBJECT : GOD IS THE FOUNTAIN OF LIFE OF THE BELIEVER!

Memory verse: "But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption." (First Corinthians 1 vs 30.)

READ: Galatians 2 vs 20; Colossians 2 vs 9 - 10:

Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."

Colossians 2:9: For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;

2:10: and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.

INTIMATION:

God is the fountain of life of the believers because He is the strength of our life. He is the source of, and the reason for our personal and living relationship with Christ. Our union and identification with Christ results in our having God's wisdom and knowledge (Colossians 2 vs 3), possessing right standing—righteousness—with God (Second Corinthians 5 vs 21), being sanctified (First Thessalonians 3 vs 3 -7), and having the penalty of our sins paid by Jesus—redemption (Mark 10 vs 45).

God is our ability. He is the Author and Finisher of our faith. We are partakers of His divine nature. His wisdom is given to us in Christ without measure, so we can safely say He is our ability. Jesus told His disciples, to wait in the city of Jerusalem until they are endued with power from on high (Luke 24 vs 49). The word "power" comes from the Greek word "dunamis." Some translations call it "ability." They were to tarry in Jerusalem until they received the ability of God.

In the new birth, we have become one with Christ, and His experiences are ours. Christian life began when, in unity with Christ, we died to our old life (See Romans 6 vs 5 - 11). And yet the focus of Christianity is not on dying but on living. Because we have been crucified with Christ, we have also been raised with Him (Romans 6 vs 5). Legally, we have been reconciled with God (Second Corinthians 5 vs 19) and are free to grow in Christ’s likeness (Romans 8 vs 29). And in our daily life, we have Christ’s resurrection power as we continue to fight sin (Ephesians 1 vs 19 - 20). We are no longer alone, for Christ lives in us—He is our power for living and our hope for the future (Colossians 1 vs 27).

Christ has come into the believer in His fullness; with all His completeness. The limitless One has come into the believer to take over. He gave His ability, His completeness. Now, we can understand John 1 vs 16 that says, "Of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace."

All that the believer requires is to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. When we have spiritual wisdom and understanding, we will walk worthily of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, bearing fruit unto every good work and continually increasing in this exact, and perfect knowledge of God, strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power. (See Colossians 1 vs 9 - 13).

This new light has given us a new responsibility in the prayer life. We can understand now why He said, "Come boldly unto the Throne of Grace" (Hebrews 4 vs 16), that is into the Throne Room where He and the Father are seated together. You are not to come as a servant or a slave, but you are to come as a lover, a son.

Now, prayer of course, is not going to be what it was before we knew who we were in Christ, and what our privileges are. Prayer is coming boldly in the Throne Room, in fellowship with our Father and the Son—our first born among many brethren, and putting Him into remembrance of His promises—His Word, contending together with Him, and stating our case clearly to obtain His promises (Isaiah 43 vs 26).

Now, the believer should boldly go to sit with Him in the Council room, call His attention to His or her needs, and also present the needs of the brethren who are sitting in the darkness of sense knowledge. While such brethren pray for faith and seek for power, as a believer you ought to know that you are a child, beloved; that you have your place in the Father's presence.

Prayer: Abba Father, I will ever remain grateful for the privilege of my sonship with You, I pray that You may endue me with spirit of wisdom and revelation of the knowledge of You, and my eyes of understanding being continually enlightened that I may know the hope of a Your calling, and the riches of the glory of Your inheritance in me, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS?

 What Are Your Expectations?

“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.” Proverbs 23:18 (KJV)

The children of God have many expectations as they live in the kingdom of God. In fact, before a person is born again, he or she is full of many expectations about this new life in Christ. The opening scripture wants to assure us that there is an end or fulfillment of the expectations we have in Him. No wonder His Word said He will do abundantly above what we ask or think according to the power that is at work in us (Ephesians 3:20). Beloved, what we need to know is that we may have many expectations of God but not all these expectations can be fulfilled. The only ones that can be fulfilled are the ones that have their basis in the Word of God. In other words, look for the Holy Scriptures that have answers to your expectations, believe them, and keep declaring them on a daily basis so that the Holy Spirit can work on them. Just as the farmer plants and waits patiently for the harvest, we must also wait patiently as we keep declaring the Word, and the expectations will be fulfilled. Remember how God worked with the Holy Spirit during creation and emulate Him. When He said let there be light, the Holy Spirit acts on the Word to bring light (Genesis 1:2–3). Beloved, learn to walk with the Holy Spirit in fellowship every day and He will bring your declarations to pass. Hallelujah! Glory to Jesus Christ!

Prayer Point: My dear heavenly Father, thank You for Your faithfulness. Even when I’m faithless, You remain faithful. Continually lead and guide me by Your Spirit to search for all the scriptures that have answers to my challenges and needs; keep declaring them in faith till they are fulfilled in Jesus’ name. Amen.
