Devotion : Elohim created living things to produce fruit to glorify Him and also be of benefit to other creations of His. The reason for Jesus Christ cursing the fig tree is because the fig tree did not glorify Him by producing fruits to meet His need. In like manner, when the Holy Spirit comes into the heart of the born again Christian, He expects him to bear the fruit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, to glorify Him and be of benefit to humanity. When people have tasted the fruit of the Holy Spirit borne by the child of God, they give glory and testimony to the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
