 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

SUNDAY DECEMBER 14, 2025.

SUBJECT: THANKSGIVING IN WORSHIP!

Memory verse: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;" (Philippians 4 vs 6.)

READ: Psalm 69 vs 30; 100 vs 4; Colossians 2 vs 6 - 7; 4 vs 2:

Psalm 69:30: I will praise the name of the LORD with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving.

100:4: Enter into His gate with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His Name.

Colossians 2:6: As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,

2:7: rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

4:2: Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.

INTIMATION:

The Christian works in thanksgiving for what God has done through His grace, acknowledging God’s goodness, which expresses his or her faith and confidence in Him. There is no powerful living apart from a life of thanksgiving which, of course, is the Will of God for us. The Christian is zealous in the Lord because of his or her salvation that has come from the Lord through the offering of His Son Jesus Christ as a propitiation for our sins.

Prayer and petitions (supplication) are to be made in the spirit of thanking God for all that He has done in our lives. When one truly understands the grace of God, He or she will respond in thanksgiving for all that God has done through Jesus.

God desires an attitude of thanksgiving, not just an act of it. Thanksgiving is an application for more. Being thankful for all the things He has done and is doing in your life is a pathway to receiving your petitions from Him. Therefore, when you have petitioned God for something, immediately begin to thank Him in trust and confidence that the thing you have asked for is on the way coming. The apostle Paul counsels all believers to give thanks in everything; for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus for them (First Thessalonians 5 vs 18.)

The apostle Paul lived a life of thanksgiving and preached the same to all believers. In some of the passages we read today, his counsel on thanksgiving, as an integral part of worship, is clearly expressed. In our memory verse (Philippians 4 vs 6), Paul counsels all believers to be thankful for what we ask in prayer, and to continuously be thankful and grateful for what He has already done in the past, what He is doing now, and what He is going to do in the future, including answer to your petition.

Jesus, our Messiah and perfect example, lived a life of thanksgiving during His earthly ministry. He knows the power of thanksgiving when communing with the Father, and gave thanks to the Father always. For example; He gave thanks to God when He broke the seven loaves and fishes and fed the four thousand (Matthew 15 vs 36). He gave thanks to God when He took the five loaves and two fishes and fed five thousand (John 6 vs 11). He also thanked God for hearing Him at the tomb of the dead Lazarus (John 11 vs 41). And He gave thanks to God when He gave the bread and wine to His disciples at the Last Super (Mark 14 vs 22 - 23).

Thanksgiving magnifies the Name of the LORD (Psalm 69 vs 30), and opens the gate of the courts of the LORD (Psalm 100 vs 4). It also, multiplies what we have received (Second Corinthians 9 vs 12). For instance, when Jesus lifted up the bread and fishes and gave thanks it multiplied, thus thousands were fed by the meal of a child. Also, the power of thanksgiving in prayer helps us abound in Christ, drawing our life-giving strength from Christ (Colossians 2 vs 7). The more we draw our strength from Him, the less we are fooled by those who falsely claim to have life’s answers. If Christ is our strength we will be free from human regulations.

This kind of lifestyle of thanksgiving is an evidence of a grateful heart. If a person is grateful for what he already has, it is an indication that the individual is mature enough to receive other blessings. But if a person is always complaining about what he has now, why should the Lord bother to give him anything else to crab and gripe about. When we realize how far God had to send His Son in order to redeem us from condemnation, we respond with a life of thanksgiving. Our good works, therefore, are works of thanksgiving, not works of merit. Christians are motivated because of what they already have in Christ.

Prayer: Abba Father, there is none like You. Your steadfastness never seizes, and Your mercies never come to an end. Your compassion never fails. I will forever remain thankful to You for all Your great and wondrous works in my life. What You cannot do for me let it remain undone, and what You cannot give me may I never have it, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

LET GOD’S VOICE DEFINE YOUR CHOICE

Date: Sunday, December 14th, 2025

Title: LET GOD’S VOICE DEFINE YOUR CHOICE

Psalm 32:8, John 10:4

The greatest safeguard in marriage is divine leading. God Himself promises, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalm 32:8). Jesus also said of His sheep, “the sheep follow him: for they know his voice” (John 10:4). This means no child of God should enter marriage in confusion. God has bound Himself by covenant to lead His people, but many ignore His voice because they are intoxicated with their own desires. If you cannot discern His leading daily, you will likely miss Him in the weighty matter of choosing a life partner.Courtship may reveal habits and preferences, but only the Spirit reveals the hidden man of the heart. A brother may act loving during engagement but hide lust or pride; a sister may appear godly yet carry rebellion. Only the voice of God can expose what eyes cannot see. That is why you must not depend on intelligence, beauty, or emotion when making this eternal decision. Marriage is covenant, not trial and error. God does not only know today—He knows ten years ahead, and He alone sees what that man or woman will become. To despise His voice and follow desire is to gamble with destiny.Practically, train your spirit now. Don’t wait until a proposal comes before seeking divine direction. Recognise how God speaks to you through Scripture, the inward witness, and His peace. When you live this way, knowing who to marry won’t require guesswork—it will flow from a familiar walk with Him. If you are already married, the same voice that led you into salvation will also lead you to preserve your home. Let His voice be final, above culture, family pressure, or personal ambition. In destiny matters, silence your will and let God’s voice define your choice.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Do I truly value God’s voice above my own desires in the matter of marriage? Am I daily training my spirit to recognize His leading without confusion?

Prayer: Lord, open my ears to hear Your voice clearly and help me to follow Your choice above my desires in marriage.

SUBJECT : FAITH ATTRACTS GRACE!

Memory verse: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourself; it is the gift of God." (Ephesians 2 vs 8.)

READ: Ephesians 2 vs 4 - 10:

2:4: But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,

2:5: even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

2:6: and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

2:7: that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

2:8: For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourself; it is the gift of God,

2:9: not of works, lest anyone should boast.

2:10: For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

INTIMATION:

Faith attracts the grace of God. Where there is faith in God His grace abounds. It’s for this reason we are saved. We are saved by God’s grace through faith in Him. Please note these two words 'by' and 'through' because the vital difference between these two words will help keep in proper perspective the different roles and functions of grace and faith.

Grace is the unmerited favor and benevolence of God. This enables us to draw from God’s power through the Holy Spirit to meet our needs. While faith is the substance; the confidence, conviction, confirmation of things we have hope for, and the evidence or prove of things we have not yet seen but convinced of their reality. Faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses.

The key words that describe faith are confidence, conviction, confirmation and certainty. These qualities need a secure beginning and ending point. The beginning point of faith is believing in God's character—He is who He says He is. The end point is believing in God's promises—He will do what He says He will do. Therefore, when we believe that God will fulfill His promises even though we don't see those promises materializing yet, we demonstrate true faith. It is the 'believe'—the confidence and conviction—in God, and assurance—confirmation and certainty—of His promises, that is faith. And it is through faith in Him that His grace (the power of the Holy Spirit) we receive God's blessings.

The major problem believers have is that once we are saved by ‘grace through faith,’ we immediately make the mistake of turning from living by grace to living by works. We begin to match God's blessings by our works. Or put in another form, we want to buy God's blessings by our works. What do I mean by this? We begin to think we have prayed enough or not enough to get God's blessings—answer to our prayers, or we have been operating enough or not enough in the fruit of the Spirit to get or not to get his blessings, or that we weren't nice when we got caught in some situations, consequently, we cannot be blessed by Him.

We think of everything we did right or wrong and figure that they automatically qualify or disqualify us, as it were, for any of God's blessings. All these are works, though in themselves are good and should be done, but are not the channel or reason for receiving from God. Remember what the Scripture says in Romans 5 vs 8, “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This is amazing! God sent Jesus Christ to die for us, not because we were good enough, but just because He loved us. It is not by works of ours.

God didn’t stop at that. He comes alongside us and be within us to help us do the right things expected of us. He gives us the desire and the power to do what pleases Him. But we have to do our own part; submit to God’s control and let Him work realizing that it is the same "God who works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure" (Philippians 2 vs 13), and He does this by His grace (the power of the Holy Spirit) in us. Disconnect from Him, and you can do nothing. (John 15 vs 5).

For those who have faith in God, that is, those who have believed—adhered to, trusted in, and relied on God—do enter His rest because His grace is sufficient (the power of the Holy Spirit) to meet their needs (see Hebrews 4 vs 3). You will enter His rest when you receive His grace and you will lead your life as the apostle Paul advised in Philippians 4 vs 4 - 6; "Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men....Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." That is life of who has entered His rest.

Prayer: Abba Father, my trust and complete confidence is in You. Give me the grace to faithfully lead a life pleasing to You in all areas of my life, that I may receive Your crown in eternity, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

MARRIAGE IS NOT TO CONFUSE YOU BUT TO CLARIFY DESTINY

Date: Saturday, December 13th, 2025

Title: MARRIAGE IS NOT TO CONFUSE YOU BUT TO CLARIFY DESTINY

Psalm 32:8, 2 Peter 1:10

Marriage is not meant to confuse you; it is designed to sharpen and clarify your destiny. God Himself promises, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalm 32:8). If you find yourself torn between multiple options, unsure of who to marry, it is not the will of God that is confusing you; it is your spiritual state. Confusion is the fruit of immaturity, where personal desires outweigh divine direction. But when you build intimacy with God, you will find that His leading on marriage flows as naturally as His daily guidance on ordinary matters.2 Peter 1:10 says make your calling and election sure. This means diligence is required to confirm your steps in life and destiny. Carelessness in spiritual growth produces careless choices in marriage. If you ignore God’s voice in daily living, you won’t suddenly hear Him clearly in marital matters. The Holy Spirit is not silent—He speaks, but many believers are drowned in the noise of their desires. Don’t say, “I don’t know who to choose,” when in truth you haven’t trained your spirit to recognize His voice. Courtship cannot replace consecration, and no amount of fasting can substitute for the obedience you neglected long ago.Application: (1) Prioritize destiny over desire. Who you marry can either multiply your destiny or suffocate it. (2) Refuse to depend on calculations or compatibility charts—depend on God’s voice. (3) Kill fleshly appetites. When lust rules you, your discernment will be hijacked. (4) Approach marriage as a continuation of your calling, not a side project. (5) Build spiritual sensitivity now. If you can hear Him on small matters, you won’t miss Him on the weighty matter of marriage. God does not play hide and seek with His children; He is committed to guiding you if you will silence your flesh and yield.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Am I truly training my spirit to discern God’s voice daily? Or am I depending on desires and emotions that confuse destiny decisions?

Prayer: Lord, sharpen my spiritual hearing and deliver me from confusion. Guide me into a marriage that strengthens my destiny in Christ.

SUBJECT: RECEIVING THROUGH FAITH!

Memory verse: "For the promise that he would be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith (Romans 4 vs 13.)

READ: Romans 4 vs 17 - 24:

4:17: (As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead, and calls those things which do not exist as though they did;

4:18: who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, “So shall your descendants seed be.”

4:19: And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead, (since he was about an hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb.

4:20: He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

4:21: and being fully convinced that, what he had promised, He was also able to perform.

4:22: And therefore, “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”

4:23: Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him,

4:24: but also for us, it shall be imputed to us who believe on Him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

INTIMATION:

Faith is reliance, loyalty, or complete trust in God, and His Word. The Word of God is spirit and life (John 6 vs 63); It’s the God in the Spirit available to the believer that gives life in the affairs of the believer. The Bible based faith is the spirit of faith, and It is the principal weapon of war for a child of God; the victory that overcomes the world: "For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith." (First John 5 vs 4.) The spirit of faith sees the invisible God in any challenge in life.

The spirit of faith is the predominant faith for exploits. This spirit is encountered through the Word of God. Therefore, faith is a spiritual force; a living force, drawn from the living Word of God, to produce living proves. The main elements in faith in its relation to the invisible God, as distinct from faith in man, are especially brought out in the use of this noun and corresponding verb. These elements are (1) a firm conviction, producing a full acknowledgement of God’s revelation or truth, (2) a personal surrender to Him, (3) a conduct inspired by such surrender.

Prominence is given to one or other of these elements according to the context. All this stands in contrast to belief in its purely natural exercise, which consists of an opinion held in good faith without necessary reference to its proof. For instance, the object of Abraham’s faith was not God’s promise of a child to an aged and weak man—a hundred years old, with a wife with dead womb—90years of age, which is remotely impossible in reality. Instead, his faith rested on God Himself, knowing that He who promised is faithful, and will do it.

Therefore, if you want to receive the promises of God in His Word you must have faith in God Himself, and the Spirit of God—the Spirit of faith—must be operational in you. The Scripture says, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrews 11 vs 6.) God promises that all who honestly seek Him—who act in faith on the knowledge of God that they possess, will be rewarded.

Many of us would have acted otherwise if we were in Abraham’s position, thinking it is impossible for a man of 100years and a wife of 90years to give birth. Some would have thrown such prophesy to the bin. But Abraham held tightly to his faith in God—the Spirit of faith was alive in Him—he never wavered on the promise, and fully persuaded that He who promised is faithful and will do it.

Many will pray for healing, using relevant Scriptures of God’s promise of healing, but will still not be persuaded they have received their healing according to the Word of God. The devil will throw the dart of doubt their way, they are hit, and their Spirit of faith is dampened. With such wavering in faith, it is obvious they will not receive anything (James 1 vs 6 - 7).

Faith makes you share responsibility of your life with God through His Spirit indwelling you. The responsibility is shared with God in the light of His Word in the Scriptures. God, our Creator, has given us His operational manual—the Bible. If we have faith in God, then we should have faith in His Word, and obey them. Consequently, we commit God's integrity to perform on His Word—His promises. He is committed to honoring His promises in the light of your obedience, and is ever ready to perform His Word (Jeremiah 1 vs 12).

For instance, the Scriptures, in Isaiah 53 vs 5, says, “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed.” How do you obtain by faith the healing virtue enshrined in the verse above by faith? Now, the three elements of receiving faith must be at work; (1) a firm conviction, producing a full acknowledgement of God’s revelation or truth that by Christ’s stripes we are healed of any illness or disease, (2) a personal surrender to Christ, accepting His works for you in redemption, and (3) to conduct yourself in a manner inspired by such surrender—the Scripture says you are healed, and you exercise you faith in the healing so obtained.

Faith is one of the mysteries of the kingdom of God. It is a potent force, with power to quench the fiery darts of the devil; "Above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one." (Ephesians 6 vs 16.) Those fiery darts include; fear, doubt, unbelief, anger etc. When he throws such darts on you, and you are weak in faith to resist it, you succumb to his lies, and miss the provision in your promise.

Therefore, be fully persuaded of the truth in the Word of God, give yourself to raw and strict obedience to it, and you will behold the manifestation of the fulfillment of the promises of God in your life.

Prayer: Abba Father, my trust is in You, who does the impossible, and makes a way where there is no way. Endue me with the Spirit of faith that my trust, and believe in You and Your Word shall total and unshakable in all things, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

DON’T LOWER GOD’S STANDARD IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

Date: Friday, December 12th, 2025

Title: DON’T LOWER GOD’S STANDARD IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

2 Corinthians 6:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:22

Marriage is not a playground where anything goes. When you see believers justifying petting, fornication, or unequal yokes before marriage because “everyone is doing it,” you know standards have been lowered. But the Word of God remains firm: “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 6:14). This generation wants shortcuts, quota systems, and easy slots, but God does not lower His standards to accommodate human excuses. If His Word says flee fornication, you cannot negotiate it to “manage” fornication. A diluted standard will produce a diluted marriage, and that marriage will dilute your destiny. The world wants you to believe holiness is extreme, but grace is not license for error. Grace is divine empowerment to live above sin. In academics, a student admitted through lowered standards will struggle to cope; likewise, a Christian who enters marriage through compromise will soon battle with frustration. If you ignore God’s standards before marriage, don’t expect His backing inside marriage. Holiness, integrity, and obedience must be the foundation of your union. That’s why confusion at the point of choice is often a sign that the individual has long abandoned spiritual discipline. Marriage is not for confused Christians—it is for the yielded, the obedient, the discerning.Application: (1) Don’t negotiate with sin. If a brother or sister pushes you into compromise, that’s your red flag. (2) Test character, not emotions. A man or woman truly submitted to God will fear sin more than they fear losing you. (3) Live by divine standards in courtship, because what you sow there will multiply in marriage. (4) Remember that God is committed to your future, not your lust. Stand with Him now, and He will stand with you forever. (5) Choose to be uncompromising—a standard bearer, not a standard breaker. Your marriage is a destiny vehicle, not a playground for careless choices.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Am I lowering God’s standard in the name of emotions or pressure? Or am I standing firm on holiness so my marriage can preserve destiny?

Prayer: Father, deliver me from every compromise that weakens destiny. Strengthen me to uphold Your standard in love, purity, and obedience.

SUBJECT : HOW TO BRING GLORY TO GOD!

Memory verse: "Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your Name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth." (Psalm 115 vs 1.)

READ: First Corinthians 10 vs 31; First Peter 4 vs 11:

First Corinthians 10:31: Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

First Peter 4:11: If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone minister, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

INTIMATION:

Glory means fame, honor, praise, splendor, and beauty. We are created to bring glory to God—bestow honor, fame, praise splendor to Him (Isaiah 43 vs 7). Living for God's glory is purposeful, and in accordance with the Will of God. It is the greatest achievement anyone can accomplish with his or her life. God made you to be you, and for a purpose. When the purpose for which He created you is met by you, you give glory to Him. God, in His nature of Love and mercy, in return, glorifies those you glorified Him. Jesus said in John 17 vs 5, "And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was."

How then can I bring glory to Him? There are many ways to bring glory to God, but they can be summarized in God's five purposes for our lives. These purposes are:-

(1) We bring God glory by worshipping Him. Worship is the appropriate response to God's self-revelation. It is our first responsibility to God. We worship God for who He is. God wants our worship to be motivated by love, thanksgiving, and delight, not duty. We worship God by enjoying Him. Worship is far more than praising, singing, and praying to God, though they are all acts of worship. Worship is a lifestyle of enjoying God, loving Him, and giving ourselves to be used for His purposes. When you use your life for God's glory, everything you do can become an act of worship.

(2) We bring glory to God by loving other believers. When you were born again, you became a part of God's family. Following Christ is not only a matter of believing; it also includes belonging and learning to love the family of God. The apostle Paul said, "Therefore, receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God" (Romans 15 vs 7). Accept each other just as Christ accepted you; then God will be glorified. It is your responsibility to learn how to love as God does, because God is love, and it honors Him.

(3) We bring God glory by becoming like Christ. Once we are born into the family of God, He wants us to grow to spiritual maturity. Spiritual maturity is becoming like Jesus in the way we think, feel, and act. The more you develop Christlike character, the more you will bring glory to God. In the Gospel, we see the truth about Christ, and it transforms us morally as we understand and apply it. Through learning about Christ's life, we can understand how wonderful God is and what He is really like. As our knowledge deepens, the Holy Spirit helps us to change. Becoming like Christ is a progressive experience. God gave us new life and a new nature when we accepted Christ. Now, for the rest of our lives on earth, God wants to continue the process of changing our character to eventually conform to Christ’s.

(4) We bring God glory by serving others with our gifts. Each of us was uniquely designed by God with talents, gifts, skills, and abilities. The way you're "wired" is not an accident. God didn't give you your abilities for selfish purposes. They were given to benefit others, just as others were given abilities for your benefit. Some people, well aware of their abilities, believe that they have the right to use their abilities as they please. Others feel they have no special talents at all. Everyone has some gifts; find yours and use them. All our abilities should be used in serving others; none are for our own exclusive enjoyment.

(5) We bring God glory by telling others about Him. God doesn't want His love and purposes kept a secret. Once we know the truth, He expects us to share it with others. It is for this reason He gave us the great commission to preach the Good News (Mark 16 vs 15). This is a great privilege, introducing others to Jesus, helping them discover their purpose, and preparing them for their eternal destiny.

God's grace brings more and more people to Christ, and as this is done, God will receive more and more glory. Second Corinthians 4 vs 15 says, "All things are for your sakes, that grace, having spread through the many, may cause thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God." God is glorified when people come into a right relationship with Him and begin to bear fruit in their lives.

When the combination of allowing Jesus to permeate our behavior, and subsequently allowing our behavior to affect the lives of others, then truly God is glorified on earth among men. Our actions must be motivated by God’s love so that all we do will be for His glory. Keep this as a guiding principle by asking, “Is this action glorifying God?” or “How can I honor and glorify God through this action?” As you do, He will in turn glorify you.

Prayer: Abba Father, give me the grace to continually do things to glorify You. My utmost heart desire is for an intimate relationship with You, and that I may serve You and others acceptably to the glory of Your Name, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.
