SUBJECT : HOW TO KNOW WHEN YOUR PRAYER IS ANSWERED!

Memory verse: "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you do not know." (Jeremiah 33 vs 3.)

READ: Daniel 2 vs 19 - 23:

2:19: Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. So Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

2:20: Daniel answered and said: "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever. For wisdom and might are His.

2:21: And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings, and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise, and knowledge to those who have understanding.

2:22: He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and light dwells with Him.

2:23: I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of You, for You have made known to us the king's demand."

INTIMATION:

Knowing your prayer is answered often involves a mix of inner feelings, external events, and spiritual confirmation, manifesting as peace, a changed heart, spiritual growth, or clear signs like unexpected help or insights, though answers can also be "no" or "wait," requiring faith, obedience, and gratitude for God's timing and Will.

Anwers to prayers is occasioned by our exercise of our faith and belief, and subsequently result to rest, and peace of mind. The Scriptures in Mark 11 vs 24, says, "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." As belivers we must pray in faith, believing; without doubting: "For he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord." (James 1 vs 6 - 7.)

Though our prayers are often motivated by our own interests and desires. However, when we pray, we can express our desires, but we should want His Will above ours. Praying according to God's Will is key because answers align with His plan, not just our selfish desires. Therefore, when we pray according to His Will, we are sure to obtain our answers.

When our prayer is answered, we have inner peace and conviction, that is, a deep sense of calm and assurance that our prayer has been heard and will be handled, even before circumstances change. The Scriptures in Philippians 4 vs 6 - 7, says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

The result of one's prayerful communication with God that is based on faith is an inner tranquility that cannot be expressed in words. When our prayers are offered to God upon the basis of faith, and knowing that God will work in answer to our prayers, then we will gain an inner peace of heart and mind. True peace is not found in positive thinking, in absence of conflict, or good feelings. Rather it comes from knowing that God is in control.

When our prayer is answered, we enter into His rest which results in our changed Heart; a shift in our own desires, focusing more on God and less on worldly outcomes, or a desire for self-improvement. Surely God could take care of our needs without our asking. But when we ask, we are acknowledging that He alone is God and that we cannot accomplish in our own strength all that is in His domain to do.

When we ask, we must humble ourselves, lay aside our willfulness and worry, and determine to obey Him. God assured Jeremiah that he had only to ask God and God would answer (see also Psalm 145 vs 18; Isaiah 58 vs 9; Matthew 7 vs 7). God is ready to answer our prayers, but we must ask for His assistance.

How do you feel when your prayers are answered? Excited? Surprised? Relived? There are times when we seek God in prayer and, after having been answered, we dash off in our excitement, forgetting to give God credit for the answer. Match your persistence in prayer with gratitude when your requests are answered.

After Daniel asked God to reveal Nebuchadnezzar's dream to him, he saw a vision regarding the King's dream. Daniel's prayer was answered. Before rushing to Arioch with the news, Daniel took time to give God credit for all wisdom and power, thanking God for answering his request.

When our is answered we experience spiritual Growth; feeling stronger in faith, closer to the divine, and more attuned to spiritual guidance. We experience the Holy Spirit witness; a distinct feeling or prompting in your spirit confirming the answer.

When our prayer is answered we would begin to see some form of nanifestation; seeing events unfold in ways that align with your prayer, sometimes beyond what you imagined. Ultimately, recognizing answered prayer involves paying attention to both the subtle shifts within you and the unfolding events around you, trusting in God's faithfulness. Such external Signs and events include; unexpected help, receiving timely assistance, resources, or encouragement from people or situations you didn't expect. You can also receive clear guidance through finding answers through scriptures, sermons, or quiet thoughts.

Believing your prayer is answered, even while waiting, is crucial. This would occasion giving thanks and praise, even before the full answer appears, which would eventually opens the way for more answers.

Prayer: Abba Father, You are our Loving Father, and Your thoughts for us is for good, and not if evil. Out of Your unfailing treasure of love, mercy, and kindness, has given us all that perfains to life and godliness in Christ, always ganting us our beadt desires in accordance with Your Will. Tha k You Lord for the answers ro my prayers as js pleasing to You, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen.
