FELLOWSHIP THAT SHAPES YOUR DESTINY AND GENERATIONS

Date: Sunday, January 11th, 2026

Title: FELLOWSHIP THAT SHAPES YOUR DESTINY AND GENERATIONS

1 Chronicles 28:9-10, Psalm 32:8

Vital fellowship with the Holy Spirit allows you to discover your unique purpose and calling, your destiny. In destiny, you may be the founder of a reputable university, a life changing ministry, or some other significant contribution to the world. Yet it will not manifest unless you establish that deep connection with the Holy Spirit. It is not only about what you can achieve, it is also about receiving divine guidance for you and for future generations. As David received guidance for his son Solomon to build the temple, you too can be guided in training and equipping your children for their destinies. God can show you the gifts He has hidden inside them long before men begin to applaud them.David fought battles that opened doors for Solomon to enter strategic alliances with nations that mattered. Solomon won much without fighting anybody because he was prepared for his day. This is what happens when one generation walks in vital union with God and receives instructions for the next. What a difference it will make if you know the business you are supposed to do rather than guessing, the course your child should pursue rather than copying others, the training you must insist on in your house because of the future God has shown you. Relying solely on worldly knowledge and trends may leave you ill prepared for unforeseen shifts and opportunities. In contrast, through vital union with the Holy Spirit, you can receive insights and wisdom that go beyond human understanding. His guidance allows you to anticipate future needs, take proactive steps, and make decisions that align with your divine destiny.Several years ago, my wife and I drove from a town after a service and settled in for the night. As we rested, the Holy Spirit instructed us not to spend the night there but to return to home. We promptly obeyed. That same night, a crisis engulfed the town but we were safe in our house. We did not know tomorrow, but He did. That is how He wants to walk with you and with your children in 2026 and beyond. He sees danger ahead, He sees opportunities ahead, and He wants to position you correctly before they arrive. So, do not treat fellowship as a religious routine. Maintain a living, listening relationship with the Holy Spirit. As you do so, you will not only enter your own destiny, you will also prepare a straight road for those coming behind you to walk into theirs.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Are you living only for yourself or also seeing how the Holy Spirit wants to use you to prepare the next generation for their destiny? What will you change this year so that your walk with Him can guide both your life and your children’s future?

Prayer: Lord, deepen my fellowship with the Holy Spirit and help me to walk in my destiny while preparing the next generation to fulfil Yours plans. Amen.

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

SATURDAY JANUARY 10, 2026.

SUBJECT : WHY WE FAST AND PRAY!

Memory verse: "However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17 vs 21.)

READ: Luke 2 vs 37; Acts 14 vs 23:

Luke 2:37: And this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

Acts 14:23: So when they had appointed them elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.

INTIMATION:

A fast is a voluntary abstinence from food or drink or both for the purpose of calling on God to respond to one’s request. It is a period of time when no food was eaten and people approached God in humility, sorrow for sin, and urgent prayer. Fasting is noble and difficult. It gives us time to pray, teaches us self-discipline, reminds us that we can live with a lot less, and helps us appreciate God’s gift. Fasting is both an outward sign of humility and regret for sin, it is a sign of mourning for sin, and an inner discipline that clears the mind and keeps the spirit alert.

Fasting indicates our seriousness with God. By separating ourselves from the daily routine of food preparation and eating, we could devote that extra time to considering our sin and praying to God for help. Hunger pangs would reinforce our penitence and remind us of our weaknesses and our dependence upon God. Fasting is always helpful as we seek God’s Will in special situations. People often fast during the time of calamity in order to focus their attention on God and to demonstrate their change of heart and their true devotion.

Fasting is an understood practice of the disciples of Jesus. Jesus said to His disciples, “When you fast,” it is not if the disciples would fast. Fasting is the natural response of those who respond with discipleship to the Lordship of Jesus. It is the response of those who depend on God’s work in their lives, for in fasting one is calling on God to respond to his pleas for help. Fasting is done in order to take one’s mind off the physical needs of the body in order to concentrate on the spiritual needs of the inner man.

Fasting not only strengthens our self-discipline, it also helps us to focus our attention on the work of God in our lives. The purpose of fasting is to inwardly humble oneself before God in order to proclaim one’s dependence on the work of God in his or her life. In humbling ourselves before God, we manifest our dependence on God in order to plead for His work in our lives.

Prayer is an expression of one’s most inner feelings of thanksgiving to God and request for His help. In the Bible prayer is often combine with fasting on the part of the one who prepares his or her mind in prayer. Praying is to speak reverently to God in order to praise God for who He is, express thanks, and/or make a request. It is earnestly entreating God in sincerity of your intention, always rendered "supplication." Prayer is one of the greatest opportunities given to man by God. It is one of the greatest privileges and ministries available to all Christians. Indeed, everyone who seeks to take his or her place in the Kingdom of God should seek or learn how to pray effectively.

Fasting and praying are spiritual preparations necessary for seeking the face, and help of God in our journeys of life, especially in situations beyond our control. It also shows our dependence on God for protection and leading, indicative of our faith that God is in control, and our affirmation that by our strength we cannot prevail. When we take time to put God first in any endeavor, we are preparing well for whatever lies ahead. It’s also an indication that we are not taking God’s promises to us for granted.

God’s blessings are appropriated through prayer, and fasting humbles one because going without food is a reminder of our complete dependence on God. It gives one more time to pray and meditate on God. Prayer and fasting increase the faith of the believers. Therefore, Christians who wants to grow in faith must give themselves to prayer and fasting.

Prayer: Abba Father, give me the grace with spirit of supplication, and total dependence, loyalty, and complete trust, in You. For I know the thought You think toward me, thought of good and not of evil, to bring me to the expected end. You created me for Your purpose here on earth, and let the purpose, expressed in Your Will for my life, be accomplished, in Jesus Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

THE ESSENCE OF YOUR SALVATION

Date: Saturday, January 10th, 2026

Title: THE ESSENCE OF YOUR SALVATION

John 15:8, 1 Timothy 2:4

Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit. The glory of the Father is not only in the fact that you are saved, it is in the fruits that follow your salvation. God is glad that you are born again, but He is not finished with you because you answered an altar call. He wants all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. Salvation is like matriculation into a university. It is the beginning of a journey, not the end. Nobody frames an admission letter and carries it to an employer as a certificate. You still have to go to class, sit under lecturers, write examinations and graduate. In the same way, being born again is your admission into the school of the kingdom. The glory and the results that heaven is looking for will only appear as you submit to the curriculum of the Holy Spirit and walk in the truth that He teaches you.The Father is glorified when you bear much fruit and fulfil the destiny He wrote for you before you were born. There is a purpose behind your salvation that is bigger than escaping hell. Your obedience and manifestation in your ordained ministry and calling are what beautify the work of grace in your life. If God has called you into a healing ministry, the real glory is not in the fact that you are saved, it is in the day that crippled legs start walking and blind eyes begin to see under your hands. The church is full of people that are genuinely saved, yet the full power and glory of the church are only seen when those saved people step into their God given paths and begin to manifest their portions. That is why the Holy Spirit is given to you. His assignment is to lead you from bare salvation into the knowledge of the truth and into the specific path that belongs to you. He is the One that will bring out the unique songs, books, proverbs, ideas, inventions and assignments that He put inside you.I remember when the Lord began to speak to me about writing books. I looked around and saw senior ministers that had not written any book and I wondered if it was really necessary. The Lord said to me, Did I tell you I told them to write? You take your pen and start writing. That was how I began. Today those simple steps of obedience have become many books that are touching lives across nations. That is how the essence of salvation works. God saves you, the Holy Spirit leads you and as you obey, fruits begin to appear. Church attendance should train you to follow the Spirit, not just fill a bench. As you continue in 2026, I want you to pursue the essence of your salvation. Do not stop at the joy of being born again. Press into vital union with the Holy Spirit until He begins to show you your specific assignments and the things that accompany your salvation.THOUGHT TO PONDER: What steps will you take this year to follow the Holy Spirit into the specific fruits and assignments that are the essence of your salvation?

Prayer: Father, thank You for saving me, help me by Your Spirit to move into the knowledge of the truth and to bear the fruits that fulfil Your purpose for my life. Amen.

Every day in the God's Word

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

FRIDAY JANUARY 09, 2025.

SUBJECT : THE NEED OF THANKSGIVING IN OUR PRAYERS!

Memory verse: "In everything give thanks; for this is the Will of God in Christ Jesus for you." (First Thessalonians 5 vs 18.)

READ: Psalm 103 vs 1 - 5:

103:1: Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His Holy Name!

103:2: Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:

103:3: Who forgives our iniquities, Who heals all your diseases,

103:4: Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

103:5: Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

INTIMATION:

In everything, including prayer, we should give thanks because it is the Will of God. We know that God is the Performer of every good thing we have seen in our lives and in others. He is the doer of all the invisible happenings in our lives in accordance with His goodness, love and mercy. God is responsible for all the benefits, especially intangible benefits, accruing to us in life, and giving Him thanks always help us avoid taking God's provisions for granted.

Thanksgiving is an integral part of our relationship with, and praise to God. The Bible, in Revelation 7 vs 11 - 12 says, "All the angels stood around the throne and the elders and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever. Amen."

All we have; life, faith, salvation, possessions etc are gifts from God (John 3 vs 27; Ephesians 2 vs 8 - 9; James 1 vs 17). When someone gives you a gift, the appropriate response is 'Thank you.' Thanksgiving therefore, is also a proper response to God at all times, and in everything. The psalmist says, “It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every night." (Psalm 92 vs 1 - 2.)

The bases of praise, and thanksgiving is declaring God's character and attributes. When we recognize and affirm His goodness we are holding up His perfect moral nature for all to see. With genuine praise, and thanksgiving, we ascribe to God all the glory due to Him. We cannot thank Him enough for His great and wondrous acts in our lives.

In the passage we read today, David tried listing some of the benefits accruing to us daily from God; plenty for which to give Him thanks and praise. He forgives our sins, heals our diseases, redeems us from destruction, crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies, satisfies our desires, and gives righteousness and justice. We receive all of these without deserving any of them. No matter how difficult your life’s journey, you can always count your blessings—past, present, and future. And this praise to God benefits us because it takes our minds off our problems and needs, and focuses on God's power, mercy, majesty, and love.

God has graciously adopted us as His children who are born of His Will, therefore, we should rest assured of His presence in our lives at all times. Consequently, in everything that happens to us, we should be thankful for God's presence, and for the good that He will accomplish through the happening, knowing that, "All things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Romans 8 vs 28).

It’s noteworthy that God works in 'all things,’ not just in isolated incidents, and for our good. This does not mean that all that happens to us are good. Evil is prevalent in our fallen world, but God is able to turn every circumstance around for our long-range good.

The psalmist in Psalm 95 vs 2 says, "Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving....." Therefore, we should always acknowledge God's goodness, and His presence with thanksgiving. God is pleased when we give Him thanks. He uses our responsiveness to teach us more about Himself, revealing Himself more to us for our benefits.

Your offer of thanksgiving will not be in words only. Just as we naturally show appreciation for what others have done to us both in words and material offering, we should do the same to our Father in heaven. Your material offering in thanksgiving is an application to God for more. God will ever reciprocate all your offerings to Him, and in greater dimension.

Thanksgiving should be in all areas of our lives, and If you are truly thankful, your life will show it. As an integral part of our praise to God, it is what we do ourselves. This is the instruction of the Lord. (See Leviticus 7 vs 28 - 30). God told the people of Israel to bring their offering personally with their own hands. They were to take time and effort to express thanks to God. It’s quite obvious that you are the only person who will express adequately your thankfulness to God and to others who have blessed, or helped you.

Prayer: Abba Father, Your praise will be in my lips always, and I will thank You, O Lord, for Your presence and the good that You have accomplished and will accomplish in any circumstances of life that I face. Endue me with the spirit of grace and supplication to You with thanksgiving at all times, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed, Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD!

GROW IN INCREASING DEPENDENCE ON GOD

Date: Friday, January 9th, 2026

Title: GROW IN INCREASING DEPENDENCE ON GOD

John 15:5, Romans 8:26

Without God you can do nothing. Jesus said, I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abides in Me and I in him is the one that brings forth much fruit, for without Me ye can do nothing. That is not a memory verse to decorate your Bible, it is a law you must build your life on if you want to succeed with God. The only thing you can truly do well without Him is to fail. When this truth enters your heart, it will change the way you live. You will stop boasting in your intelligence and start leaning on His wisdom. You will stop admiring people who live as if they do not need God and you will begin to see dependence on God as real strength, not weakness. One of the first places this dependence will show is in your prayer life.Prayerlessness is not a sign that you are busy, it is a manifestation of pride. When a man says, I forgot to pray, it is not memory problem, it is an attitude problem. If your life depended on taking a particular tablet three times a day, you would not forget, because you know you will die if you miss it. That is why the devil likes prayerless Christians, because they are living as if they can run their lives without God. The most powerful prayers rise from people who are abiding in the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:26 tells us that we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit helps our infirmities. It is pride to think you always know what to pray. Intimate fellowship with the Holy Spirit brings you into accurate prayer, because He shows you the real issues and the real targets.I want you to embrace this humility of depending on God as you move through 2026. Stop trying to impress heaven as if you are a self made champion. Do not wait for crisis before you pray. Start each day by acknowledging Him, asking for His help and listening for His instructions. Carry that sense of dependence into your work, your studies, your decisions and your relationships. When you are tempted to rush into an action, pause and ask, Have I checked with my Vine on this matter. The highest wisdom in the kingdom is to live as a man or woman that knows he cannot do anything without God. That kind of man will abide, will pray and will follow the Holy Spirit closely, and his life will show the fruits of divine backing that human effort can never produce.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Have you been living and planning as if you can run your life without God or as someone who truly believes that without Him you can do nothing. What concrete changes will you make in your prayer life and daily routine this year to show that you are genuinely depending on God.

Prayer: Father, deliver me from pride and prayerlessness, teach me to depend on You in all things and let my life this year show the fruits of Your backing. Amen.

 EVERYDAY IN THE WORD!

THURSDAY JANUARY 08, 2026.

SUBJECT : PROPER CONDUCTS IN PRAYER!

Memory verse: "Therefore I say to you whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Mark 11 vs 24.)

READ: First Samuel 1 vs 9 - 16:

1:9: So Hannah arose after they had finished eating and drinking in Shiloh. Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the tabernacle of the Lord.

1:10: And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD, and wept in anguish.

1:11: Then she made a vow and said, “O LORD of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a mail child, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head.

1:12: And it happened, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli watched her mouth.

1:13: Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Therefore Eli thought she was drunk.

1:14:So Eli said to her, “How long wilt you be drunk? Put your wine away from you.

1:15: But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.

1:16: Do not consider your maidservant a wicked woman, for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief I have spoken until now.

INTIMATION:

The proper conducts in prayer include the following:-

1. We must be candid in our prayers.

God is “All-knowing,” therefore, go to Him in prayers with total sincerity of heart, and frankness in all intents and purposes. Don't keep anything back. In the passage we read today, Hannah had no child for her husband who really loved her. She was greatly discouraged and bitter because the husband's other wife had children and ridiculed her. Her loving husband could not solve her problem. She then turned in prayer to the Provider of solutions to all problems. The antidote to discouragement is telling God honestly of your problem, how you feel, and then leave your problems with Him.

It is difficult to pray in faith when we feel so ineffective, but Hannah did. We should always be careful of what we promise in our prayers because God may take us up on it. Hannah so desperately wanted a child that she was willing to strike a bargain with God. God took her up on her promise, and to her credit, she did her part, even though it was painful. Hannah made a vow in return for having a mail child, to dedicate him to God for lifetime service. God gave her a son named Samuel. She lived up to her promise, and God even blessed her with five more children excluding Samuel.

2. Pray simply and directly.

God is pleased with our sincerity, and uprightness. We can never pray vainly if our prayers are honest and sincere. Christ condemns vain repetitions in prayer (Matthew 6 vs 7). Repeating the same words over and over is no way to ensure that God will hear your prayer. Remember, God knows your needs even before you ask for them (Matthew 6 vs 8). However, you can come severally with the same request to God. In Matthew 26 vs 39 - 44, Jesus persistently prayed to the Father three times saying the same thing, even when He knew the Will of the Father. If you will say the same prayer now, it will take you less than twenty seconds, because it is simple, sincere, and direct.

3. Pray audibly and in alignment with His Word—His Will.

Align your prayer with God’s Word. Put Him in remembrance of His Word (Isaiah 43 vs 26), He is always ready to perform His Word (Jeremiah 1 vs 12). The Word of God is our blueprint for life, the architectural plan for our divine destiny. The utterance of God's Word helps to activate our faith. If you can hear yourself when you pray, you are loud enough. You really don't need to shout. God expects you to speak to Him, not shout. In Isaiah 65 vs 24 God says, "It shall come pass that before you call, I will answer; and while you still speaking, I will hear." Not while you are shouting.

4. Pray passionately.

Your prayer, and supplication should be passionate. It is the "effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man that avails much" (James 5 vs 16). The Christian's most powerful resource is communing with God through prayer. The results are often greater than we thought were possible.

5. Don't mock God.

Do not ask God to do for you what He has already mandated you to do for yourself. Continuing to pray about what God has already told you to do is rebellion against the known Will of God. For instance, in Psalm 50 vs 15, God says, "Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me." If you are then in any trouble, the proper prayer is, "God I am in the day of trouble, I believe you will deliver Me as I call upon You," not "O God I am in trouble, will You deliver Me? I am Your child...."

6. Pray believing.

God is never far from the person who seeks Him, and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. The Bible in Hebrews 11 vs 6 says, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Have faith in God (Mark 11 vs 22). Have faith that His promises are true and that they apply to you.

7. Pray without ceasing.

The door to prayer is always open; you should take full advantage of walking through that sacred gate often. In First Thessalonians 5 vs 17, the Bible says, "Pray without ceasing." We cannot spend all our times on our knees praying, but it is possible to have a prayerful attitude at all times. This attitude is built upon acknowledging our dependence on God, realizing His presence within us, and determining to obey Him fully. Then we will find it natural to pray frequent, spontaneous, short prayers. A prayerful attitude is not a substitute for regular times of prayer but should be an outgrowth of those times.

8. Pray with thanksgiving.

It is the spirit of thanksgiving that makes your prayer supernatural. The apostle Paul, in Philippians 4 vs 6 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." Naturally, the best way to ask for more is to always be thankful. When you thank Him for what He has done, He will do more.

Prayer: Abba Father, give me the grace for proper conduct in prayer; that I will pray acceptably to You and receives answer from You, in Jesus’ Name I have prayed. Amen.

FOLLOWING DIVINE DIRECTION, NOT GEOGRAPHY

Date: Thursday, January 8th, 2026

Title: FOLLOWING DIVINE DIRECTION, NOT GEOGRAPHY

John 15:5, Psalm 23:1

Without God you can do nothing. Jesus said He is the Vine and we are the branches. The one who abides in Him and He in that person is the one that brings forth much fruit. That is not a religious statement, it is a practical law of destiny. You must understand that your safety, your wealth and your success are not inside a particular country, they are inside a divine direction. Many people have relocated based on human calculation and popular trends and later discovered that nothing worked, because they followed geography instead of the Shepherd. You may be a pastor who believes you cannot succeed unless you are in a particular city, or a professional who believes that once you step into a certain nation everything will change. The real question is simple, where did the Lord lead you. Psalm 23:1 says, The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. It is who you are following that determines whether you will lack or not, not the post code where you are standing. If you follow the wrong voice, you will lack in the middle of abundance. The same principle applies to your choice of a life partner. When the Lord leads you to a man or woman, it is when you allow emotions, pressure or material things to guide you that you enter into trouble in marriage. Servicing your relationship with the Holy Spirit is a foundational principle for manifestation in every area. When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you received the greatest gift God gave to the world. When Jesus went back to heaven, His greatest gift to the church was the Holy Spirit. He is your divine Helper and Guide. Building a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit is like any other relationship. The more intentional you are, the deeper it becomes. Some people have walked with Him to the point that His presence is more real to them than that of their spouse or relatives. They can sense His pleasure, His warnings and His instructions in a very personal way because they have taken Him seriously. This is the direction God is calling you into this year. Stop treating the Holy Spirit as an influence in the air. He is a Person that wants to walk with you through your decisions. Talk to Him when you are planning a move. Ask for His mind when you are considering a job, a business, a relationship or a major purchase. Listen for His restraints and His green lights and be ready to obey even when it does not favour your feelings. The degree to which you will manifest the word of God in your life this year will depend on how much you allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and how willing you are to follow His leading. Every time you choose His voice above pressure, fear and popular opinion, you are stepping into the path where your true future is waiting. Do not run your life as if you are sufficient in yourself. Let this be the year you practise deep dependence on God and enjoy the reality of the Lord as your Shepherd in every step you take.THOUGHT TO PONDER: Have you been trusting more in geography, opportunities and people than in the Shepherd who knows your future. In what specific decisions this year will you deliberately slow down and seek the Holy Spirit before making a move.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, deliver me from running my life by human calculation and help me to follow Your direction in every decision so that I can enter the future You planned for me. Amen.
